Anyone know for sure if the coils from the 2nd or 3rd gen can fit on the 1st gen Tacoma?

I know the top hat is smaller on the first gen. But could the coils be used?

I see people running the 883 or 884 OME coils and those I believe are the same for all years??
    (I could be mistaken)

But because the coils on my 1st gen is 20+ years old, I have several sets of 3rd gen parts sitting around.

So hoping someone knows if they are compatible?

1st gen - it's got a built engine, a turbo, and waaaaaaay too much to list. 3rd gen - basic-bitch lift, S/C, Pro Wheels
If you have all the parts handy, I'd just do some measuring. But I've never heard of anyone adapting 2nd\3rd gen coils (or any front suspension) to a 1st gen.

That's probably what I'll do. I have a commercial coil compressor so it's not that much trouble.
I was just hoping someone might have tried this already.

    4 run, 2 don't
    Physically, they'll fit.

    Why do it though?

The correct coils to use aren't even expensive, that and 2nd/3rd Gen Tacoma's are much heavier so putting them on a 1st Gen would make it ride like shit.

Being factory oils, it only makes sense to refresh your entire suspension.
