3rd Gen Color Thread poll

Hello everyones,

I just want to know what color you guys have bought in order to know what color is the most popular of them all. (ON TACOMAWORLD)

I would imagine the magnetic gray would be at the top. It seems like I see a lot of them.

Lol.. My wife would not let me buy the inferno... she said it looked trashy... I settled for the Blazing Blue Pearl........... With Premium Tech Package lololol... Some you win some you lose...

 

So inferno was trashy..... But blazing blue pearl has some couth? Not exactly sure how sound that logic is! Don't take me wrong, i like them both. Just seems a bit odd that one LOUD color is trashy but another that is almost electric blue is not. My $02.

 

Our kids both went to Bama. We don't do orange.

Hey, happy wife happy life... I love both color... At first I wanted to go with blue right off the bat... Then I kind of moved towards the inferno.. but as I said my wife did not like it... I agree with you... It worked for me anyways!

 

My current order is on a TRD Pro in Cement

 

It's the opposite for me because if you've been in the japanese/german car scene since the 90's, you knew that the 6th gen honda civic si really brought the electric blue pearl color to the scene (the e36 estoril blue was bright, but not as "electric" as the civic EBP). Since then, people have been repainting their cars that color and eventually manufacturers like toyota, etc have their own blue pearl color. So for me, I couldn't do the blue pearl when I saw it in person.

Also, in the shade or indirect sunlight, inferno is pretty subdued (as it will be 8 months out of the year here in the PNW).

 

Yeah... That's what I figured too... I like the orange tone but just as the blue it really changes with different lighting... In bright sun it's REALLY blue.. like electric blue... at night becomes almost dark blue... Just like the inferno goes from bright orange to almost red at night... they are pretty cool colors.

I just could not do the "classic" colors... white, grey, metallic... I mean nothing wrong with them but today I crossed 3(!!) 2016 going the opposite direction in 3 minutes all grey...

 

Honestly I would have liked it in purple too... but no way wife would have let me!

 

I had 4 white Tacomas, I wanted Silver but it was either the Superwhite SR5 at invoice on the lot or silver TRD OR at MSRP and 2 months wait. I went SR5, kinda wish I coulda waited a few months and more TRD would be on the lot but not sure if I could get it at invoice.

 

Yeah. The blue is pretty cool too, but for me, I just couldn't do it (I had a blue pearl honda about 13 years ago myself...). Never had an orange car and figured why the hell not. If it's not loud and fast like my last mercedes, might as well have loud paint.

Also, the quicksand and black is cool, but looks too military for me, even as a vet.

 

The quicksand is growing on me... Black I don't know... I guess I am in a phase when I am tired of all the plain "classic" colors... today I saw a 16 black and it just looked.... plain.

 

I liked white and blue best.

I've owned black before, never again. Cement and quicksand don't ring my bell, and we have too many silver vehicles already. Red's okay, but I don't do orange.

Since I was buying an OR and already own a LeMans blue car, I went with Super White. Contrasts well with the black flares and bumper insert.

 

mines inferno quite the color personality on this thing for sure
