I’m worried about the random monsoons we get here. I would be impressed if I found pine needles in my air box as I RARELY see pines lmao

I should have looked after the last rain here since it rained a ton. We are supposed to get more this weekend so I’ll look if I actually go anywhere.

Do me a favor and just park it outside in the rain and let me know…that’s where my truck will be 99% of the time. Infact I don’t think she’s ever been parked in a garage since I’ve had her

Haha. Will do! We have tomorrow so I’ll let you know. I’m pretty sure you aren’t driving there would have to be a lot of rain to go into the intake. I’ll take some pics tomorrow.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Mine lasted about three hours. No difference in driving it except the noise. Sent it back.

I dislike the snorkel look too and never knew about this option until today. I may just have to do this too.

Just to make sure I’m tracking….the cowl mod is/was loud in cabin and you both reversed (or will reverse) the mod?

If that’s the case, I might not do this.

I wanna delete the resonator in my intake. I like throttle noise.

@WrecklessAbandon believe they were talking about adding after market intakes.
But if you do it let me listen to yours.

    Close.

I have an aftermarket intake. Prior to the cowl mod the intake was much louder. I’d say after the mod it was maybe 20-30% louder? At full/close to full throttle there is no chance you can have a conversation.

A stock intake doesn’t really make noise (in fact it’s designed not to) so keeping the stock intake and doing the cowl mod I doubt you’ll get much in cab noise.

If I take off the aftermarket intake I’ll let you know the sound difference.

No, not the cowl mod. I.put a K&N open or.cold air intake on. They normally help the engine breathe easier. It didn't do anything except make it sound like I needed a muffler up front.

I have the ABS controller in the way, so it looks like this will be a no go for me.

    Aftermarket intake noise.

Full throttle in third gear getting up to 65: 98dB
    Cruising at 65: 84 dB

I’ll measure stock once I throw it back on and drive.
