3rd Gen DCSB picture thread !!!

I agree, but unfortunately, Toyota doesn't offer the long bed with a real transmission. My preference for a manual transmission outweighs my preference for a long bed, so I have the short bed.

 

How is the Derp'd wheels holding up ? did you do anything special to the rims before spraying ? because i did mine and put like 4+ coats on it and waited for like 5 days before giving it a shower but it started to peal when i did give it a shower. So I removed it and gonna start over but wondering if you did something different like sand and ruff up the rims before Plastidipping to make it stick better or something. This is what it looked like before i had to remove it lol.

 

Just cleaned it with soap and water. Then Plasti dipped it. I have washed it twice and have gone Off Roading. Nothing yet

 

How many coats did you use ? and did you tape off your tires ? did you remove your wheels off the truck? sorry for all the questions im trying to find out anything different then what I did. I might have to try it again because I really like the look on the stock rims.

 

No I just took the whole tire rim off the car put on the floor and Plasti dipped like that like 4 times. you can peel the tire part after its dry and just wheel stays black

@browndirtcowboy do you run that rack all the time and if so how does it affect your mpgs?

 

Realistically the wind drag probably takes it down a mile or two a gallon
