Do you have to do it every time after you open door?

 

Can somebody post a photo of where this is on the push button start trucks? I took my dash apart today and couldn't find the thing.

 

You could of just unplugged the keysense switch connector instead of taking apart the switch

Based on post #19 I thought someone had figured out how to do this on push button trucks.

 

Manual transmission has regular key I believe

I bet this will also let you use the radio in accessery mode with out listining to the sound of someone getting water boarded when the door is open

 

Sooooo, I took the connector apart and too the spring out. Pushed the plunger all the way in so that there was a good connection. Works awesome. Buuuuuut not my lights won't turn off auto once truck is locked. I haven't looked into it. Just turned them off manually and heading in for chow. Any ideas?

I have a silly question... will this also give one the ability to lock their keys in the truck?... or rather lock it up when it's running? (I have a spare key for the door)... or is that another switch somewhere else?

 

Did anyone ever figure out how to accomplish this hack with a push-to-start system?

The door-ajar ding is driving me mad.

This mod worked on my 2021 TRD Offroad M/T with key ignition. I unplugged it and tucked it away. I haven’t noticed any side effects yet to undoing the plug. Sure is nice to have that door chime gone! Thank you original poster!
