Somehow my driver's seat plastic garnish (at the front of the seat close to the back of the knees) is hanging low on the end closest to the shifter.

Are there special clips or something that keep that garnish in place, tucked up against the seat and seat fabric?

I can't see anything near there. I suppose I could take a look with a makeup mirror my wife uses (which I found was one of the only ways I could see the dang fuse holder under the driver's side dash).

I suppose if I had to - I could try to remove the seat.

I'm hoping someone else has been there, done that and so, thanks for any hints, tips, tricks on getting the garnish re-attached properly.

I’m not exactly certain of the seat component you are dealing with, but removing the seat from the vehicle is pretty simple. I pulled mine out to install my seat covers.

I would remove the seat to get a better view and access to what you need to fix.

Yep, things are always easier if you can SEE what you're dealing with and working on...

Just can't seem to find the exploded view of the thing.

Any tips for removing the seats? I know there are four bolts for mounting the seat in the vehicle, then there must be a wire harness to provide power to the seat positioner motors on the driver seat assembly, and another for activating the side impact air-bag for both front seats.
I don't think I can get to the harnesses without being able to tilt the seat back (after removing the bolts). Is that about right?

I just noticed your truck is brand new. Maybe just take it to the dealer as a warranty repair?

If you really want to go after the repair itself, I would disconnect the negative battery terminal prior to disconnecting the wiring harness under the seat.

If you just unbolt the four mounting bolts, you can move the seat around quite a bit inside the truck without disconnecting or stressing the wiring harness.

Yeah, it just sort of popped off. My wife is gonna freak when I take the door panels off to replace speakers, but if she sees me taking out the driver's seat, she might hit me over the head with a pan.
