Old thread - but any info on this? Need a DS for my second gen.

The 3rd gen PN is 371000444000, whereas my 2nd gen is 371000434000. From what I've been able to find, the 371000444000 is for a 2016+ 4x4 Crew Cab w/ 5' bed which is my exact configuration. I haven't been able to locate any concrete info that it will or will not work though.

Different (larger) rear axle on the 3rd gens might make the pinion flange a bit further forward thus a shorter driveshaft.

A tape measure will tell you all you need to know.

Could be any number of things including different transmission (A750 vs AC60) lengths. The MT and AT driveshafts are different lengths within the same generation, for example.

Ya'll are awesome. Came to the conclusion earlier today (thanks to @Brian422) that it probably wouldn't work. Thanks for confirming fellas.
