Hey guys! Im sure there are many of you who have had the issue of the head unit rebooting when getting a phone call or just other weirdness with the Entune head unit.

on September 8th 2017 they released an update for your head unit

    things you need:
    1. Internet
    2. USB thumb drive 2GB or more
    3. 15 minutes

    https://securedp.toyota.com/download-app/getHeadUnits

super easy to do. hope this helps some of you.

EDIT: small side note. For those of us that have the built in navigation you have to choose the option with out navigation. We need the audio only update not the navigation side of things. It wont work if you choose with Navi

You might look at that again... when I went to the download page, it says this update was: "The update released on: Sep 08 2017."

also now that you pointed that out I wonder what would happen if I tried to put the one they have for the 2018 model on.

Yes, but even after doing any OTA updates to my Taco (May 2017 build / September purchase) this update was newer than the loaded OS and fixed some issues with the BT connection.

I installed it a month or so ago.
