I have a 2006 Tacoma and have managed to successfully install a 2017 entune premium with navigation and get all features working. I know there has been a few guys that have also completed this project but I'm wondering if anyone has made a custom bezel that will actually fit the headunit. I have tried to modify the original one, a factory 2015, as well as a double din and no success.

Has anyone 3D printed or make such a beast that will fit? I would really like to finish off this project with a nice bezel

I'm gonna try this too but I'm still waiting on my radio. I currently have a 2014 radio on my 2013 and the opening on the 2013 bezel looks a lot wider and taller than the 2014 or 2015. I'll report back to you when I get my radio and mod the 2013 bezel.

I've actually had a 2014/2015 Entune installed in my 2006. There is a 2015 factory bezel that will fit, so there is no problem with anything up to 2015 entunes. It's when the 2016 and up entunes that was the new glass design and much bigger headunit which there is no factory bezel that fits a in a 2nd Gen Tacoma. If you have any questions I can send you some pics of my 2015 install

Did you remove the bezel sides and just use the top and bottom? And did you have to modify the mounting brackets? Thanks for your help. I'm trying to do the same thing and having problems.

Check this thread it has pictures of my install. I trimmed the sides and no modifications done on the brackets. I couldn't screw the brackets in so they're secured with zip ties.

Basically I trimmed the top and bottom off a factory bezel, used the existing mounting brackets and everything bolted right in. It took a little more time to make/trim the top and bottom piece of the bezel to ensure if was tight as possible but it worked out ok. I also bent the legs/feet of the mounting brackets so it would fit better and give me some extra clearance for the gps antenna

My factory head unit in my 2013 craps out during the winter. Started last year. Screen turns on but it doesn’t function using the steering controls or the controls on the hu itself. There’s a 2018 entune hu for sale near me on Craigslist for 200 obo. Thinking of buying it and the gps antenna.
What do you guys think yay or nay?

Was also looking at the joying unit but I don’t like that theres no cd option and the long term heat concern.

How did you get the display to be red? Isn’t it blue from the factory? I’m going to install a 2013 JBL engine into my 2010 soon. Thanks
