    You've literally gained nothing in horsepower. Nobody is buying these trucks because they are concerned about their 1/4 mile times. I'm not trackin.

    It's also a form of minimal protection.

    This exactly. As far as heat, I wrapped mine with motorcycle exhaust wrap for some unneeded protection... as literally hundreds run this reroute without any protection. 50k miles later the t-case is uneffected. It also made the rear diff the lowest point on the truck. To address the skids that come with the exhaust protection, that will add additional metal under the pipe, which in turns decreases clearance even more. Hope this helps to explain the reasoning!

    Yeah, can't say this is the reason I did it. The 35's and regear pretty much locked me out of any additional HP... Lol! However, after I looked at several skid plate designs, I felt I could perform better on the trails with skid plates that install flush from the front to rear. So far so good!
