I think you should wait until the end of September and there should be a kick ass dual exhaust system coming out for our trucks :)

Take the exhaust money you’re thinking about using, spend $20 of it on fireworks. It’ll sound great. The rest use for something that actually is useful.

Muscle cars muscle sound. Truck that can off-road better than most, make it better that way.

Don’t like off-roading... slap some better tires than firestone destinations on it. Ya get the point.

Well, at least get rid of that low point in the damn pipe and get a reroute if you go offroading a lot, that crossover part under the transmission was terribly designed for offroad use.

The best I've heard? I've only heard two: OEM and MBRP.

The 3" MBRP is very aggressive, but how it sounds is extremely subjective. I like it enough not to get rid of it (for now). I do NOT have the drone others complain about. Bottom line this is a V6 engine and will never have that sweet sound of a V8 no matter which system you go with.

    good luck.

    2nd gen...
3rd sounds like crap. I'd stick a quiet 2nd gen muffler on mine in a heart beat...
Loud exhausts were designed for high performance purposes..on stock vehicles, they sound HORRIBLE. ...but for the kids, it's "cool"...

Stock or TRD, which I guess is technically a stock 'option'.

But like seating, exhaust sounds are very subjective.

Louder doesn't always equate to faster. And I have long preferred function over form.

URD spec U exhaust all the way, its got a really clean note. Not raspy like some exhausts that remove two of the 4 cats and it definitely lets the truck breathe a bit, lot of truth to what Mat said about the exhaust being the bottleneck in performance

It’s coming from the source. Me! At this time I cannot provide anymore information other than a Dual TRD Catback Exhaust designed specifically for our trucks. Could be side exit tips or straight back tips. Currently in the process of making arrangements for mid September.

Haven’t installed my Borla yet but will report back.

I’ve had a TRD on my 4.0L Tacoma and Corsa on my Tundra 5.7L, diffferent engines but found my TRD did drone.
