Just sayin'. Had it a while now and I like mine a lot. Thought maybe there should be a place to say that.

Almost 9,000 miles on my PRO, love it.

Only issue was 1 headlight replaced by dealer due to leak, and now the other one is leaking.

6MT is gorgeous to use and so satisfying.

Just hit 1,000 miles on TRD OR. Constant AT shifting disappeared as I guess it learns your driving habbits. The only complaint is that I don't have enough money to throw at it for aftermarket stuff. Other than that, I love it! My first Tacoma too.

I love my truck. Even with the funky transmission. Extremely capable offroad rig with the interior/features/gadgets of an upscale midsized sedan? I'm cool with it.

Love. I'll take a 1st gen or a 3rd gen for looks, and every time I park, I look back as I walk away... my gf notices and teases me about it. She's jelly. Everything else is great so far. MT, it's a joy shifting through gears. Interior is sexy af. I just can't even with this truck.

Same here. Have a 1st gen and 3rd gen in the garage. Wouldn't take a 2nd gen for free .

You should respond, "If you were better looking, I wouldn't have to constantly look at the truck..." :D :D

I absolutely love my truck when I'm in it, driving it, or looking at it.
However when I'm not in it and on this forum, I suddenly hate it and want to change everything about it, then I look at it and suddenly forget everything wrong with it.

I do the same with the same response from my wife. Just wait until next week once the lift, wheels and tires go on! She doesn't dig the quicksand which secretly makes me like it even more. Agreed on the interior and how nice it is and also on the MT. I traded my '16 SR5 AT for this '16 TRD MT and have never been happier with a car decision.

Same here. My 1st gen sleeps inside garage, PRO gets outdoors. Maybe I am showing bias on which one I love more :D

I really truly didn't think I would love this truck more. My 01 manual 4 banger, LT and deavers, is just ten different kinds of sexy. Pulled it off the road to fab a bed cage this spring. So many little things I like about it. But this new one just gets me.

I'm resisting the urge to fuck with this new one. When I'm 80 (if I get that far) I wanna have one that I fabbed, and one that has all the original shit. Even the shift knob. And I very much wanna change the shift knob, but I just won't. Just a nice 50 year old all original yota, like my grandfather did with his. Though his is somehwere being 35 I think. I think I will end up putting 4 rebuildable coilovers all around, tucking the oem shocks away in the garage.

I once had a 1989 BMW touring/sport bike - 4 cylinders (big issue at the time - what? Not an opposed twin? Worthless!) and smooth as silk. It's predecessor, a 1981 BMW R100 RT saw the east coast and everything east of the Appalachians. The 1989 saw the west. With any vehicle you've had for a while, you learn to listen to what it's doing (not what something else does) and the tach is just there if you get confused - otherwise you drive it (and shift it) by the noise/rhythm it makes. So turn the radio off. Play with the pedal. Learn the noise/rhythm it makes. Don't let it control you - you control it, and it's responsive.

Love my '17 Pro. We have a '16 highlander for the wife that drives like a dream so when the Pro showed up on facebook with 700mi we went to the dealer and bought it that day.
I have been lurking the forum and joined after my ECU flash fixed the gear hunting. I had a cobra kit car and this Pro gets almost as many compliments.
