So I’ve got a 3rd gen trd sport and I’m looking to start adding to it. I’m wanting to do a 3” lift with 265/70/17 on a 17x8, I’m wondering what’s the most offset I can run without having any rubbing?

Welcome to TW! This is a great question that’s been asked a lot of times. Spend some time in the third GEN section of this forum and the sections for suspension and wheel / tire set ups, and your answer will be provided.

and the search function on this site works good too if you spend a minute on criteria.

    ^^^ This, 100%
There more variables to consider. No 2 trucks will be the same. Even with the same amount of lift and tire size. Lift won’t keep you from rubbing.
Generally the more negative the offset, run the risk of rubbing cab mounts and fenders/ mud flaps. Less and you could rub frame or UCAs.
Alignment will play as much a part as the rest. Pretty sure you could run that size with no lift and a good alignment.
    Also Welcome!

FYI, these trucks don't like 3" lifts. Stay closer to 2" many problems arise over 2.5". Many threads on that subject. As noted above stick close to 0 offset as well.
