Will the lights say Apex or Cali Raised?

And how easy it to install the brackets and what not?

These ones will say Cali Raised, and they are really easy to install.

How did you guys get the nuts in to attach the hex bolt from the bracket to the light? If I drop the nut it isn't even close to where it needs to be. What's the trick? Very frustrating

Took a break and got it to work. Next question. Maybe in Cali plug and play means something different than plug and play in Florida. The black plug is what is plug and play, yet, it is connect to nothing. The gray plug connected to the light doesn't connect to my factory harness. How is this plug and play? IMG_6388.jpg

Well yes that is considered just a plug, so
It can go right into your fog plug.

Plug and play=s You plug it in and play. Not plug in, cut, rewire, heat shrink, play.

Ok...so this isn't really "plug and play"? I've been watching these posts as I just received my box on Friday and was waiting to see the answers before I took a chance at doing it (as I'm not too keen on wiring).

It's just two connections, red to red. Black to black.

You really don't get it do you? Cutting a plug and splicing wires together DOES NOT make it plug and play.

Yes we don't advertise it to be plug and play on our website, we give an option for an OEM plug.

Usually the day you buy it , it goes out next day depending on our stock. I know we are out of amber pods. But besides that we are all good!

So if I buy a true base 2017 Tacoma 2.7 4 cyl automatic these fog lights will work even if it was not prewired from the factory ?
    Thanks

I used a butter knife to keep it in place while tightening with the provided allen key lol

Thanks guys. Just so I'm clear, you need to cut the connector that comes with the fog lights, and then connect the OEM plug? Would you recommend soldering the wires then or would small crimp connectors be sufficient (I don't have the tools to solder).

Yes that is correct and I prefer soldering but for small connections like these a small crimp is perfectly fine.
