    Has anyone done any headlight upgrades such as changing shrouds, painting inner headlight black, angel eyes, etc.?

    There are a few that blacked out their bezels and one guy even changed his dtrl to switchbacks. Haven't seen anyone put halos or even upgrade the projectors.

    I don't think changing "shrouds" will work because the factory shrouds are molded (all 1 piece) with the headlight surround. You could paint the chrome inner housing, but don't paint the highbeam or turn signal buckets. Leave them chrome IMO- as they rely on that for optimal light reflection. I am doing a projector swap this weekend (tuned/modded RX350) as well as a BHLM, i'll post some pics. Good luck!

    ^ just look at the TRD pro lights. That will give you an idea of what to paint.

    There is a post in the " what have you done to your taco" thread where a member sent his headlights out for complete rebuild, blacked out with angel eyes and color changing drl led strip. Ill try and find it.

    I was going to do that, BUT;
    1)They aren't out yet..who knows ETA
    2)Cost for OEM replacement housing;led DRL(from Toyota) were $480 EACH..I can only imagine how much $ the PRO's will be
    2)Even though Toyota stepped up their game and went to projectors in this gen, they are still marginal at best.(PRO's are the same)
    Retrofitting an aftermarket projector will give much better light dispersion and output and way cheaper then buying OEM Pro housings.
    This is my .02-

    There are threads here where people have opened up the headlights to paint them black. There is also a thread where someone added a second projector as well. The search button will yield them.

    it's more than .02-, you make multiple valid points, suppose if I had a local shop that could do the blackout mod I would do it, but I don't and it doesnt bother me that much....yet.
