Anyone ever notice how thin these hoods are? I can see the center of it bouncing while just driving down the road. Also pretty scary to watch how much it bends going through a car wash when you get to the dryers.

Check that the bond hasn't failed between the skin and support. Known problem with the earlier non-skewp hoods.

No they are not aluminum, damn thing is too heavy anyways.

I have to take a look at my hood supports as well, but I haven't noticed any flexing yet.

This is a known problem, some have gotten theirs repaired or replaced by the dealer. Some just fix it themselves. I wouldn't recommend using the dryer at the car wash will likely make the problem worse.

I wish, but they are steel. There was a process failure when doing the bonding. You might be able to see if some came free looking under the hood.

Post #89, in that thread I linked above is my post with the easy solution without a dealer and better long life results than the dealer using the same OEM gunk...this stuff I suggest is NOT susceptible to weather...

Seems like a big complaint is worry about the dealer not fixing the hood properly with the sealant. Your truck is a 2017, I would bring it in to them an make them fix it.

I bought a new truck so I didn't have to worry about repairs.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I did fix a several minor issues at home (loose u bolts and door panel, A pillar, cab mount, and leaf spring squeaks). It was easier and faster than driving to the dealer and waiting.
