I'm certain it could be happening, it has been documented to happen in comments sections on news websites.

Now whether it is happening here is another thing. Remember if you want to think this through logically - Toyota staff could easily be here pumping things up as well.

It's really no conspiracy. All reliably is down after the financial crisis. The cars built in 2009 and up have the dual factors of cost cutting and meeting unrealistic CAFE 2025 standards. The new tech is also complicating repairs and costs are increasing.

This is in every aspect of consumer segments. Just lookup how vehicle reliability is down and repairs are increasing dramatically. There are many articles. Funny thing; 4 cyl cars everyone was buying before gas tanked are the ones with more issues now. They also make up the majority.

Also consider that with more access to mediums to complain as time goes on you will see more and more complaints. That gives an inflated aspect of everything as well.

Toyota and Lexus tend to still do better then most. I sold my 2011 for a 2008 4Runner with less miles. Much happier.

And let's not forget there are us Canadians who all or most have American built 16's and have none not one issue with our new trucks.

Didn't turn me away and never visisted a forum before purchasing. Test drove it, loved it, bought it. No issues.
