I know people have complained about the seat angle or whatever, I’ve read about people adding spacers in the back bolts but I’m not sure what was ergonomically wrong with the angle. I’ve been experiencing knee pain in my right knee on long drives In my 3rd gen. I’ve never had an issue with my knee before, or never noticed it until I bought this new truck. I had a second gen for 10 years before this with no issues. I work a pretty physical job and have no pain when I’m running around in normal life but for some reason when I drive for long periods no I notice my knee hurting. Maybe it’s just a coincidence and I’m turning into an old man but I wanted to see if anyone on here has had the same issue and if shimming the back of the seat has helped with this.

Yes. I had the same issue and put in the 1” rear spacers. They helped me a lot and I no longer am annoyed by the seats.

I though the mods were supposed to remove useless comments, not post them?

    What gives?

Knee pain on long drives? Maybe I nee is loose while being used, stiffens up because it can’t move as much on a long drive.

    Welcome to getting older?

Seating position in this truck is awful. Interesting to hear you came from a second gen with no issues. My first gen was very comfortable for me compared to my 18. I think I am going to give the spacer option a try myself.

Yep, i’ve noticed knee pain in my last few trucks. Getting older is what I figured causes it.
I started taking Glucosamine daily and then on long trips I keep two towels in my truck to put between my legs and the center console or drivers door. Sometimes i’ll put the cruise control on, remove my shoes and alternate stretching my legs out beside the brake pedal. Works for me anyway.

I just feel it’s the truck because I noticed it right when I bought the truck, I guess I’ll shim it up tomorrow to see if that helps. Metal legs if that doesn’t work.

Do u not feel like you're sliding down the seat? I don't have em, but I just feel like I'd be sliding towards the steering wheel.

I’ve never been into cruise control. Just turned 33 so maybe I’ll try that and start mowing my lawn in my underwear

If I were ever going to mess around with the seat I would raise the front.

Mow the lawn in your underwear and see if that doesn't help your knee.

I guess my issue hasn't been big enough to pay attention to where it's been causing pressure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'ma start paying attention

I had the same issue with knee pain in my right knee on longer drives. I'm 26 and very active so I didn't think it could be my knees going bad just yet. But I bought some spacers to raise the front of the seat and it has helped a lot and made the seating position better I think. 3 hour road trip last weekend with no pain.
