Looking for recommendations for a new oem replacement leaf pack. The only constant weight I have in the back is a softopper. Camping, this thing gets loaded up.
I feel as though now even unloaded with just the softopper i feel like I hit the bump stops every now and then.

Can someone recommend a leaf pack replacement for TRD OR DCSB. I see General Springs, SD Truck springs... etc.
Not sure if I need what they call heavy duty, but I am lacking knowledge in this area.

Dobinsons 111r leaf packs is what I would recommend.

Deciding on a leaf pack is tough because there is always going to be a compromise. Do you get the right leaf pack to hold up a fully loaded truck, or do you get the best leaf pack for 95% of your driving unloaded... We tend to lean towards the second option. Too heavy/stiff of a leaf pack can make the truck ride pretty bad, especially with stock shocks. If you are able to, I would try and get a more accurate idea on total weight you carry in the bed. All leaf packs are weight rated, so this should help get you in the right direction. Deaver makes some great low lift leaf packs, but you may only need an add a leaf. AAL is cheap. Just keep in mind this will likelly increase your rake quite a bit unloaded. You definitely do not need anything heavy duty.

Also hitting the bump stops often its not 100% a leaf spring issue, sorry to throw that curve ball in there. Shock performance will also help keep that suspension under control, even weighed down. Can of worms has been opened :D

I have the Deavers U402 stage 1's. I emailed Deaver about similar leaf packs with less lift, but never got a reply. What else do they offer?

I'm currently running your King "Tundra" shocks.

    +1 to this.

I originally ran the RXT @ stage 1, but with a bed always unloaded, it was way too rough and lifted the rear about 1/2" more than advertised. Was not impressed. With weight it rode considerably better but this was less than 1% of the time. This excessive rear lift also caused me to have to run an extreme amount of preload on my front suspension to keep the rake even which made the front ride like crap too.

Since then, I have swapped over to the Deaver J66 and was able to reduce my front preload by about an inch and it is an extremely nicer truck to drive now with an unloaded bed. The most I ever have in the bed most of the time are mountain bikes and a 33" under the truck.

Oof... Everything that I've read is that the J66 is too soft and more ideal for desert running. I'd be worried that I'd be running on the bump stops, even with minimal load while out camping offroad.

I agree. I have a complete set up front and rear, but 2wd. Empty the ride is rough, but when I tow a light as a motorcycle trailer the ride is great. They are more than adequate. They handled this load of mulch no problem.

Custom valved ADS 2.5" shocks with clickers (that ride incredible with the Deavers), JBA HD UCA's, Superbumps. Every other variable was addressed - I was just oversprung.

I'm going 3" Dobinsons. I don't know if I want stage 1 or 2 on back I've read some people say stage 2s not too bad and others say it's terrible I can always change it with what’s included which is one thing I liked about the icon

Technically.. you can change any leaf pack, some are just designed/marketed for it. 3" is a lot of lift on these trucks and any higher than about 1.7" up front makes the ride pretty terrible as it eats up a ton of downtravel. The big thing is to get a pack that is properly designed for your payload and needs. The Deaver was perfect for me, but might not be for others - there's a ton of options so get the one that suits your requirements.

I have a J66 on my 2016 w 2.5 fox dsc front and rear. Rode like a dream from the day it went on. I think I got really lucky on that?

Having no end of misery and expense with my other two trucks. Second leaf pack for the Tundra and fronts on and off twice w new coils the second time. Meanwhile the '05 Tacoma has the opposite problem, too light so suspension is stiff and right now I’m 2+ inches nose high.

I read a lot of negatives on the J66 too, just got a used set by chance and figured f it, give 'em a try.

Bert, if you’re ever down here we could swap trucks for a little drive or something.

Dobinson does not do stages as far as I can remember. They have a variety of spring rates though. Make sure to get the springs to match your weight or it can be stiff. Height is not as important as weight. If you can do kings/fox from Accutune they are the bomb

Dobinsons springs and coilovers with ddk and dk heim ucas. Icon leaf springs. I don’t want to have nose up but don’t mind some rake
