I'm not going to argue with you and I can agree with you on a few points. I've edited that recommendation since clearly, I was wrong on what I thought you've mentioned on other threads about HID's in reflectors. I am a new believer in HID's. However, as long as it is a quality HID kit. I've seen shit HID kits where LED bit the hell out of them.

As of now, I can honestly say that the Morimoto and the XenonDepot HID's are great quality and have excellent performance. deAutoLED has a new HID that I'm testing now that I also really like. As for LED bulbs, it still stands that the Hikari Phillips is the best I've seen, with XenonDepot coming in right next to it.

As with all things quality is paramount. There are cheap LEDs, cheap HIDs and cheap light housings. If you are using a garbage quality product, you are going to get garbage quality output.

My LEDs in both the Low and High beams have more than enough throw.

    20180601_224055.jpg

That sign on the right and the 4' high picket fence also on the right are about 700' away.

Whoever says LEDs or HIDs don't have enough throw in these Tacoma housings just needs to spend a little time learning how to adjust them. I will say out of the box for me they needed that adjustment. But once I did that, they were incredible.

Hey Brett, I just watched your video!!! Great job Son! You rock!!! Pretty damn impressive!!!!!!

Edit - Vid removed since you posted it below! LOL, Thanks.

Just a couple questions. How do I buy the front turn signal bulbs? And do they offer any type of resistor free bulbs for the rear housings that have as much light as these front turn signal bulbs?

Thanks and again, great job Bro!!!

What's up everyone!! I wanted to share a quick look at deAutoLED's 7440 LED front Turn signals. I have been testing out some product for them over the past two weeks. This is the first of a couple different videos I'll be sharing with you all.
This video is comparing Stock Halogen, JDM Astar, and deAutoLED. These light really outmatched anything I've ever seen. deAutoLED has some quality products all backed by a lifetime warranty.

Yea, I always miss those links on the Tube.
So it's the 7440 Amber correct?

Yes sir, that is correct. For the front turn signals, you will want to get the 7440 Amber (see below).

I believe they will have 7443 dual function soon. @deAutoLED.com can tell us. The rear brake and turn signals are seperate. So, if I'm not mistaken, the 7440 white would work there. They may have a red version released before too long for that application. So let's wait and hear from them.

Yea, not sure I need any more white light up front. I am just interested increasing our on road safety. Since our night commute begins here in the city, there is a lot of ambient light and confusion. The OEM lights get lost. Then the second leg of our commute is I-95 and no matter how much I use my turn signal people in front of me insist on getting over in front of me even though there is clearly no room.

Lots of bad drivers over here in Maryland Brett, lots!

thanks for the very informative post and hopefuly it can continue in a civil manner rather than cluttered. Something I'd like to add is that I went from stock halogen to the Morimoto 2 Stoke (1st gen) LED and definitely noticed the lack of 'throw' I'm looking for replacements and will definitely look into the Hikari Phillips/XD/Motimoto 2 Stroke 2.0

Yea, I wanted something I wouldn't have to deal with resistors on and these are bright AF so the choice was easy. Took advantage of the coupon code and saved $5.00. So basically, even though they are tad bit pricey I don't might paying extra for the simplicity.

But yea, your reviews and the video are what sold me! Thanks Brett.
