Im sure many of you have upgraded your stock headlights to LED lights. I have a 2018 trd off road and thinking about upgrading to LED lights... any thoughts and recommendations are appreciated, photos are also welcome.

I did the GE mega 130 and they were great, huge improvement over stock. Then I rode in my son's truck and after he installed some diode dynamic sl1. I since added a set and I'm even more happy. I was against adding them after reading page after page of LED lights with our stock headlights, not working correctly. Well I'm here to tell you I'm impressed. The focus and distance is awesome. I know people are going to say otherwise but DD knows their stuff.

There are people here that have a phobia of LED lights. Watch they're coming.

For replacement LEDs specifically check out post #3, numerous LEDs tested there. The Hikari Ultras have tested the best for direct replacement LEDs, however they are outperformed by a simple H9 swap.

I was totally into the LED upgraded bulbs. After trying 3 different brands(all highly rated), I found the Philips H9 Halogens were brighter, and had a much better pattern.

Just save yourself money and frustration, and go with better H9 bulbs. A lot of folks ran an adaptor for the plug. I just used a dremel cut off disc on the stock plug. Now H9's will run without mods.

Also, if you care about spotting animals in the woods, the H9 halogens have a higher/better CRI (Closer to Sunlight)than any LED's.
