I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while now just waited for more people to post up pictures first.
Here’s the first one I saw in the 3rd gen thread that got me considering it.

I’d honestly just whack through the center slag along the preexisting body line too. It will uncover some of the crash bar but would still probably look better.

Also RCI and someone else make a “filler plate” skid that bolts to the crash bar brackets where the bumper attaches on 4Runners, I’d image a similar skid would look great with this mod,

    For example(not my pic)

A utility knife will work but is very slow, I have done it with an oscillating tool and it worked awesome.

30 min, 2 blades and a clean cut with minimal finish sanding. Oscillating probably works but if someone doesn’t have one a utility knife is a great alternative.

Pretty common mod on 5th gen 4runners and I've seen it on 1st gen sequoias. No bad if you already have damage there or don't want an aftermarket bumper on there. I still think CBI and demello's is the best (I have cbi's).

Yeah I think he’s mounted a winch behind the stock bumper.
