I have a K&N cold air intake with a OEM MAF and I was wondering if there are higher performance air flow sensors available and which are the most popular?

My current OBDC is rendering a P0102 (permanent): Mass or Volume Air Flow "A" Circuit Low so if I end up having to replace I may as well upgrade for possibly a little more power.

As always, any information is appreciated

    Look into forced induction (supercharger).

It was said that CAIs that move the MAF closer to the TB can screw up the tune and cause the engine to run rich. Does your intake move the MAF?

If I was having an issues with a CAI, I'd consider going back to stock and just using a mesh filter?

There's no such thing really as an upgraded MAF sensor, also I suspect the reason this one failed is due to oil contamination from the K&N filter. You can try MAF cleaner on the sensor ( without physically touching it, just spray and air dry) but you may need to replace it. I would recommend a Toyota genuine sensor and dry air filter, if you would like to run a k&n I usually clean them and use a very conservative oil coat ONLY on the dirty side of the filter and let it soak in over night. If the clean side of the filter looks saturated too then there is too much oil. I've ran K&N filter on many of my other vehicles just for the cost of buy once and clean but honestly for the risk of too much oil ruining a sensor and the fact a paper filter will clean the air much better as evidence of the intake tube not having dust in it, I don't bother with reusable filters anymore. At best it just added a little sound to the engine and gave me the illusion of more power/ doing something special for my vehicle
