He is asking about the LED bar on the bumper. But if that thing was an LED light, rad!

    Hello everyone.

New to the Tacoma world. Owned a 2000 Nissan Xterra for 17 years and it was a great rig, but was time to move on. Always admired the Tacoma's from a far. Wanted to give truck life a try and so far in the 2.5 weeks I have had it I have been so impressed with it.

MGM and Blazing Blue were my two favorite colors. Finally had a dealer in town that had both colors at the same time, and when I saw both next to each other the MGM just "blew the blue" away in person to my eyes. Not to mention the MGM had the DCLB configuration I longed for so it was meant to be.

Here are an obligatory couple pictures of the truck a few days after I got her home and removed the cast aluminum running boards that came with it (up for sale by the way :) ). Otherwise have done nothing to her yet other than buy a OEM bed mat and weather tech floor mats. Then ordered a dashmat and neoprene custom seat covers, and RokBlokz flexible mud flaps to replace the OEM rigid ones. Lastly this weekend will give her a heavy new car detail of clay bar, polish and wax this weekend and hopefully that will protect her through the year as I already have my garage full and can't keep her in there.

I love the stance and setup of the stock suspension. Plan on doing nothing else to the truck except adding bolt on sliders, a tri-fold tonneau cover or SoftTopper, and get some BFG AT's when the OEM tires wear out. Going camping for the first time with her tomorrow. Plan on sleeping in the back and the long bed will come in handy for that.

Looking forward to learning a lot through this forum, and getting the truck off road here in Northern California and beyond. Already learned a ton on this thread which I finally finished reading all the way though. Took a week plus but made it. There are some amazing looking Tacos on this thread. Enjoyed looking at them all.

I'd say 2.5" min. But you'll still rub off road. CMC, Pinch weld hammering, and lots of fender lining needs to be cut out.

Bilstein 5100 struts set to 1.5" lift. I had to cut the corner of the bumper a little and i removed that defuser thingy. Under full lock I rub on the body mount.

Are you getting any vibration with your spacers? Usually do.

None at all and the alignment is spot on. 75-80 on the highway is smooth as glass, i'm very happy with it.

BTW, 3" with springs or 3" with spacers is still 3" One won't cause vibrations any more or less than the other. Some people just buy into the BS that spacers are bad and will cause your truck to explode.
