I know a handful have installed color-matched bumper caps. Sounds like removing bumper is quite a pain. Anyone have it done through dealer? Approx cost? TIA.

Clazzio leather seat covers, CBI T3 front, SOS sliders, SCS Ray10s, 285/75/16 Duratracs, debadged, extra bed D-ring tiedowns, Advantage TorzaTop, OEM bed mat, custom center console organizer, Husky liners, remote start.
I have taken my caps off twice, once to plastidip and once to change out color matched caps, and it was pretty easy. The hardest part IMO was getting the tag light housings to pop out.

    Here ya go!
Thanks to @FtApache for a detailed Rear Bumper Removal Guide

    Tools:
    -12mm socket
    -Philip head screwdriver
    -Flat head screwdriver

Time commitment: Between 15-25mins for removal and 10-20mins for install = 25-40mins total

    Step 1: Remove license plate

Step 2: (2a) Depress the tabs for the trailer plug and license plate lights and pop them out of their sockets. (2b) Disconnect wiring harnesses for the trailer socket and license plate lights located behind the bumper. (2c) Remove the three push pins pushpins shown below
    [IMG]

Step 3: Two snap clips are visibe and can be easily seen from beneath. Hint-it's located towards the end of the bumper. Pick a side and gently start prying the snap clips using a long flat head screwdriver (or other prying device) to free them from their sockets. Patience is key here. Start slow and take your time. You do not want to rush or apply too much pressure (just enough to free the snap clips). Too much pressure will break the snap clips

Step 4: Remove the six 12mm bolts shown below. Start with the upper bolts. Then remove the two bottom bolts
    [IMG]

Step 5: If you do not have sonar sensors, the rear bumper end caps should now be free. If you have the senors, carefully remove them

Step 6: Remove the push pins and gator clamps shown below
    [IMG]

Step 7: The outer end caps should now be removed easily

Reverse the steps above when reassembling. Remember to take your time. Do not rush doing this. Replacement endcaps are expensive. So take your time while doing this.

None yet. Only put about another 10 miles on it after I got home from the shop. I'll play around with it more tomorrow.

Front hitch, 5100's, 885's, Snugtop XV, Slimline II, Sumos, bed platform, AAL, interior LED lights in cab and bed, exterior camp/backup LED's, Rigid DOT Fogs and D2 Pro Spots, Mega Ultra +130 bulbs, heavy-duty fog light, spot light, and low beam wiring harness, Weathertech mats, Re-routed dif breather and A/C drip line, dash cam, front and side cameras, anytime rear camera and nav, Blue Seas fused bus bars to cab and bed, heavy-duty bus bar w/Anderson quick disconnects under the hood for powering winch, solar, air compressor, and other accessories.
Prinsu rack on the cab of the Sport and a FrontRunner Slimline II rack on the shell of the Off Road.

Although I almost bought a Prinsu rack, I ultimately decided to go with the FrontRunner rack for a number of reasons: 1) The FR racks don't use special T-bolts or T-nuts. The slots are designed for common 8mm fasteners that you can buy in different sizes at most hardware store or on ebay for a lot less than T-bolts or -nuts; 2) The FR crossbars appear to be made from a heavier gauge of extruded aluminum than the Prinsu; 3) the FR short bed rack comes with 7, 3.5" wide crossbars while the Prinsu has 6, 2" crossbars. To put that into perspective, it would take 12, 2" crossbars to almost equal the surface area of the 7 FR crossbars; 4) you can add attachment bolts to the slots without removing the crossbars; 5) the FR has added versatility since the side rails have mounting slots on both the top and bottom of each rail.

Granted, the FrontRunner rack cost more, but it comes completely powder-coated and with free shipping. After I added the cost of powdercoating, an extra crossbar, and shipping to the Prinsu rack, the difference in cost to me was about $100.00. Of course, it helped that I got my FR rack during last year's GB. lol
btw, the FrontRunner Rack Group Buy 2.0 is currently active! :bananadance:

Oh my tons of great info! I will have to look into that group but. Prinsu is half the price before all the extra goodies and then only $100 cheaper after?!

Sounds like FR is the way to go quality-wise. That's kind of what I thought to begin with. But lucky me I got a topper and a cap that need a rack. Mo money :bananadead:

There will probably be a greater price difference for you since the first GB was a better deal. For the cab rack, the Prinsu is definitely the sexier of the two! So, if you don't want to mixed the two brands, you may want to wait until the next Prinsu GB. btw, I have a Thule cargo box that I plan to use over the cab. That's why I got the OEM cab rack. I also like the fact that I can deploy the OEM cross-bars only when I need them.
