So i don't have my truck yet (10 more days) but I'm going crazy thinking about what to do to it when i get it. Looking for a little feed back or even pics if anyone has done anything along the lines of what i was thinking. I'm going to be doing some plate dipping i would love to do the tacoma,4x4,and v6 in red then do the mesh grill in all black but make the toyota logo red also. My wife thinks i should just do everything in black including the tailgate insert stickers. I just really want to work some red in somewhere. I see how she could think the red on all the decals might look cheap. So maybe everything black and in the grill just the toyota logo red to get my fix? Has anyone worked red into there magnetic grey? i ordered a trd sport DCLB upgrade package in mgm obviously. thanks

Here are the ones I purchased for my DCSB, and they bolted up perfect.

    http://m.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-TACOMA...3D141678171500&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460

The ad states it does not fit a 2016 and the Seller was a richard cranium about it when I told him it DOES fit a 2016 perfectly. They say it doesn't fit so Toyota can sell the 2016 running boards that are more than double the $$.

No, not red. However, you may want to think about silver instead of red. I asked my wife about going with gold and she laughed at me.

Gold would be awesome!! Doing the decals in red would be a little much i guess. I'm just going to go black. maybe i will get the trd 4x4 sport stickers that has red in it to get my fix.

I initially installed the coils as they came and without the spacer. This yielded only about 1" lift in the front and the 285's rubbed at mid lock. With the 3/4" spacer and additional 1/2" on the coils I got another 1-1/2" which leveled the front with the rear and no more rubbing.

Not yet. It will be there for at least 10 days until the lift kit gets there and installed. I promise to get them up there.

No Ranger gets you street cred on TW. But you do get street cred for being a new owner of a Taco.

Do those running boards protect from shopping cart/door dings?

Not sure about shopping carts but it does provide some door ding protection from passenger cars in this SUV world we live in. I bought the running boards to conceal the body joint and the frame.

Do you actually use the boards for getting in and out of truck? I feel like i would never use them and they would just get in my way, especially when getting out..hitting the back of your calf overtime would get annoying.
