From what I saw when I was researching 888 would get a little more lift. I'm about level, maybe just a tiny bit of rake. I haven't done any trimming yet, and could easily get away with never trimming. I rub slightly while turning In reverse or turning and going over a bump. Even off road it's not too much of an issue. I'll do a cmc sooner or later but that's mainly because I plan on going with 35s next time I need tires. I could clear out some plastic too but not much is needed. I've never had an issue with my vectors and I know a few other guys running vectors without issue. No spacers at the moment.
If you're going with 888's I would recommend putting 285s on at the same time. 265s will look small. Like I said, I already plan on going with 35s next

If you like the vectors and are terribly concerned with hib centric vs. Lug centric, you might look into the SCS ray10's they're a very similar look, designed for Toyotas. Just have to get them while they're in stock haha

Get 4... you won't regret it. Well, maybe you will, because you'll become the go-to guy for getting other people unstuck. Traction boards seem gimmicky, but they actually work really well.

They would've saved the day here for sure. Two sets? I feel like in 99% of cases, one set would be plenty. Worst case scenario place them diagonal across from each other?
*edit I realize you probably mean so you can lay them one in front of the other

Awesome. I haven't been able to decide on tire size or springs. I love the look of @iiitsmikey truck and he has 265/75/16 which is about the same size as the 265/70/17 I have been looking at and he has 887s. BUT, I also like your look with 888s and 285s. I am pretty dead set on not wanting to do a cmc though. I just don't like the idea of cutting metal on a 6 month old truck lol maybe in the future. What kind of gas mileage are you getting with your 285s?

    Haha... like 11
BUT there are a ton of variables working against me like snow, hilly city, roof rack.

The difference between the 887 and 888 springs from ome is, the 888’s will sit 5mm taller than the 887’s. To put that into perspective, 5mm is about the same thickness as 3 nickels. Also, if you’re not wanting to do a cab mount chop, I’d get adjustable uca’s (mine are spc). That way you can set the caster at about +3. My next set of tires will be 285’s. Everyone said to just go with 285’s right from the start, but ofcourse I didn’t listen. The 285’s will probably only rub when the wheel is turned all the way and the surface is uneven.

Ahh - tough decisions. I have a pretty good drive to school every day. ~60 miles each way. I dont want to kill mpg too much and 285's may put me lower than I want to go.
