These wait times are crazy. I don't know if I would have had the patience to wait 6 months. Even the 1.5 ish weeks I waited for mine felt like forever

I'm up in Canada so we aren't as big a market and accordingly don't get as many allocations. Is what it is - you can buy a domestic off the lot but I wanted the Tacoma.

Congrats, what a beaut! I'm waiting for the exact same one but the delivery date keeps slipping a couple of weeks at a time. Now looking at May 10 - 20.

Worth the wait. You'll have a big smile on your face. Hope it comes soon for you.

    Digging up old post here..

Would you say the gloss is easier to keep clean than the matte? ie brake dust, ect. Also does one show rock chips more than the other?

I would say yes, the gloss cleans up quicker... but honestly, I hardly ever clean them.

I think the gloss hides knicks better, because the shine hinders your focus. But the gloss will get scratched and etched worse.

Thanks! Although I'm not sure how much that helps my decision making, haha!

Trying to decide between Blaze 10's in Gloss Gunmetal or the Dark Bronze for my LR. OR going with a matte.

Whatever wheels I decide on I will probably have them coated before install.

I'd recommend bronze, with the LR.

Almost finished modding out my truck, this weekend I'm installing some aluminum RCI skid plates and a steel front bumper.
But I really liked how it looks in this photo so I figured I'd post it here as well.
Over the past few weeks I installed Fab Fours rear bumper, BedRug bed mat, RXT leaf pack, Dobinson shocks 2" rear lift and 1.5" front, WeBoost cell booster, and 400w Anytime.

Before next winter I will be going up to 265/70r17 tires and maybe next year getting some sliders.

Thank you! Not sure if I'm replying properly (still new to forums in general).

Lift is Bilstein 5100 all around, fronts set to 0 with I believe OME 2887 springs (could be 2886 honestly can't remember as it was a year ago), and a Deaver 1.5" AAL in the back. Already thinking of upgrading this to something better but it was a great start seeing as I did it all myself so simple was good.

Tires are Rebel Renegades, LT265/70R17 with replica rims #ballinonabudget for sure. Also looking at upgrading this setup as well, not a fan of these tires during the winter and I'd like to go down to 16's and get some bigger rubber, I've read lots of good things about KO2s and wildpeaks so we'll see where I end up!

I appreciate the info. Your response is totally fine. Going to a 16" Wheel will give you fewer options so consider keeping the 17" wheels.

It would be good to look at your paperwork or online account from where you bought the springs and figure out what you have. It looks like you've made some informed decisions so far..... I'm curious why your looking at changing already.

KO2's and Wildpeaks certainly have great reps on here.

KO2s do not do well of icy. Snow they are ok, but if it is hard packed or icy they are not good.

I used to run them and even tried them siped. Switched to Duatracs when they came out and the out performed the KO2 on ice but we're still not what I wanted. Now I run siped Duatracs and they with fine. Not as good as a dedicated winter tire.

    I run 235/85/16 E, a 32" tire that won't tax the gearing

The 16" is more of a style choice, now that I've had two sets of 17's and have seen 16 in person I'd rather swap to those. Reason for changing the suspension, is just quality based. I went with some cheaper options and I feel like I can "feel" it. I understand modifications will take away certain comfort aspects and what not, but the bilsteins feel a bit cheap to me and not "solid", this could be me not installing them correctly either as I'm no mechanic by any means lol.

Not to mention my Deaver AAL kit didn't come with certain parts and even damaged parts so I was scrambling to make it work. So I'd rather get a more put together kit on the truck, and also try something new! Thinking of going OME all around for suspension but who knows that's a couple years out here anyways.

Also thanks for the input Duffy, I had Duratracs on my half-ton and drove through many snow/ice storms so I know how good they can be, so that's definitely an option!

Just picked up a shell. I’m undecided if I’m gonna paint it or wrap it. The two tone is starting to grow on me.

Gotcha. It seems some folks want more than the 5100's.... no harm in that. I really appreciate the stability the 5100's added to my new TRD OR and I'm super happy with the Headstrong progressive AAL.

What color is it? It certainly not a match but it doesn't look too far off from MGM.
