Hoping to get the TRD wheels from Dustin at FN Wheels in the next week...plus other things....will update as installed.

Yeah it still looks factory. Im still on the fence about dipping the bezel.

Anyway.. Super easy the insert completely removes so no masking.

yeah exactly, maybe only 4 or 5 coats. I sprayed very lightly and speckled it to prevent runs. This gave a rougher texture which i like. One tip is to set the can in warm water to increase the pressure and and give a cleaner spray. Also never start it while pointed at the part. The first bit of spray is messy or poor quality.i would start the spray on cardboard and the. Sweep across the grill.
So far it is very durable. I have pressure washed it from 6inches with no peeling.

    No glossifier

Also lookup a tutorial on removing the grill and take your time. It is tedious and you dont want to break any tabs.

Find yourself a MGM trim ring also. Love my MGM SR. Currently working on stripping the Toyota emblem down to raw plastic so I can paint it body color. Should be done in another day or two. Stripping high quality chrome is a slow process when doing it at home.

Mine was 5 costs, no glossifier. I only removed the Toyota emblem, and taped everything else off.

Dents in roof from poorly loaded canoe. Broken side mirror from blown transfer truck tire. Scuffed up front bumper from thinking I was still in a corolla. Graham cracker embedded upholstery from a crazy kid.
I have the weathertech. They are pretty rigid also, probably as much as the stock mud flaps. I've seen a few non-rigid flaps around, but they are all more expensive than I want to pay for a second set of flaps.

I've posted some pics on the dip thread but since we are talking about it. I did my grill last night. I pulled it off the truck, went to take it apart and was paranoid I was going to break a tab so I just masked it on a bench. Did 6 coats, 20 min a part and one glossifier. I think it turned out good. I was worried about the red. It was really orange for the 1st 3 coats. I also flipped the can upside down and cleared the nozzle between coats.
Bedside decals are next, probably going to add some red to them also

I need to stay off this thead. I'm about to start spending $$$ and I've got 3 vacations in the next month and a half. My wife is going to be pissed lol

    Soak in bleach; bubbles off.
Replace bleach when it stops reacting with the chrome.

Not on a triple chrome it doesn't. That only works with cheap chrome. Soaked in bleach for days, absolutely nothing happened. Bleach strips chrome, it does nothing for the nickel or copper under it. Draino max gel for 3 days, it's maybe half off and the draino has had enough. Time for fresh draino to hopefully get the rest off.

I have striped model car parts, RC car parts, all that with bleach in just minutes. This is a black primer of some kind, then copper, then nickel, then chrome. They went way above and beyond on plastic that's for sure. It's high end chrome which makes my life harder lol. Just an FYI, oven cleaner works well on cheap chrome also. Not so much on this emblem though.
