If common sense means it’s better to go buy a used ford for $40k+ rather than spending $6k on a truck you already own.... I have no common sense.

please use your common sense and sell your Tacoma and get a raptor.

also, better suspension? Don’t they come with a block on the rear leafs?

I'm not sorry that i'm not a Tacoma apologist, but used 1st gen, the keyword 1st gen if you read my post can now be had starting in the low twenties. This leave plenty of meat on the bone to take it to the next level.

The 3rd gen is a good truck, but for ME installing a supercharger would be a fool's errand. If I needed more power i'd buy something else.

Just trying to understand here. I get the concern and issues about heat buildup. How is the concern mitigated with big rigs? They tow heavily and extended and are turbocharged. They must do something to address the concern.

Ecoboosts tow great. We have a fleet of them at work and tow with them often. No problems. They are powerful engines that successfully make up for displacement with forced induction. We even tow with our 4-banger New Rangers without issue.

Toyota has a lot to learn from Ford. If Toyota could marry Ford’s more advanced technology, with their in-house quality control, we’d really have some great trucks from Toyota.

Week at best no Powertrain Warrantee . No CARB cert. means this is not a legitimate upgrade. Racing only. This a a racer x kit that you can get built on every corner out here in California. And get your awesome truck bounced right out of the smog shop..... I already have a 10sec turbo Audi and it’s all under warrantee. What is a company worth when they are willing to give you 36k warrantee back the product and fix your shit if things go wrong. NOT overtune ! If you don’t have a CARB # your not even in the game! O we’re not even getting into resale value turbo vs SC. Let that sit for a minute..

Thank you for letting everyone know you dont know anything about us or our product.
I don't recall saying it won't come with a warranty.
It's also designed and tuned by us. Not some "racer x kit" built on some corner.

I don't see a CARB cert on any forced induction application for this truck yet.
Heck I don't even see proof of concept tuning or even a single dyno run, or anything from others. Sure it will come, but hasn't yet, so it's "all talk" right now.

Thanks for letting everyone know you're in California. If this was a concern I totally get it. Sucks to have to deal with smog checks and god forbid something is aftermarket and not paid for with a sticker. I'd be willing to bet OvTune has probably spent more time tuning than anything else. As is generally accepted knowledge, a tune can make or break FI. At least consider the tune from OV, and if you need the CARB off the bat and other companies offer the sticker have at it.

Did they bring you on as a brand "ambassador" yet or is this your initiation?

Well seeing I’m a brand ambassador for Wilwood, Raceline wheels, BFG, and Toyota Motor Company...I did ask them but they never responded. They pretty much jerked the bone right out of my mouth! They pretty much said fill all this paperwork out. Thank you very much now sit on your hands till MARCH. WTF ! So ya true story I’m not real happy with them. The way there are treating a “potential ambassador “ And seeing my truck is always on display! I think I’ll just pay full pop and not have any strings in my relationship with them.

Welcome to becoming your standard run of the mill dealer. We have the same paperwork with them. Nothing special.

Anyways, let's keep this about Magnuson product, not ours.

I’m not a dealer. I gets lots of free parts that I’m really grateful for. I am a brand ambassador. I cannot say enough good things about my sponsors! I feel so fortunate to drive this truck. I think your right. We need to keep this about Magnuson.
So don’t you guys think that the Magnuson supercharger would look really cool under my hood? I think it would be the cherry on top. D45E3D05-544D-4AFE-BD4A-455A2A405F71.jpg5A061AD6-E1D8-48DF-A78E-C413CA64D20E.jpg

6500 is wayyyyyyyy tooo expensive for a SC kit. How much were the TRD SC kits before they stopped making them?
