My favorite part is the fish finder on the passenger side, that would make a great ice fishing truck :)

we’ve used them for years in Baja races. A great tool for plotting routes and marking hazards. Also great for dropping bread crumbs to find your way home. Many iPhone or android apps now have similar features. Problem is keeping a signal to track navigation. Also the ruggedness of the lowRance makes this old school GPS a must for off road…

I have 2022 AT 4WD with 33” tires and 5.29 gears. Will the magnuson tune mesh well with the 5.29’s. Does it somehow calibrate itself differently than if the truck had stock gears? Thank you

A regear does help, just as it would NA, but you'll end up really wanting a tune nonetheless.

For 529s, YotaWerx Tuning does two things for you: correct for the 529s so that you're not limited to just 88mph, and uses a separate custom shift point and torque converter set as there is a massive difference from 390s to 529s, and the 529s really benefit from a set that differs from what the 390s receive.

Without these changes, on any tune, no, the truck does not possess the capability to adjust for the regear.

I'm pretty new here so hoping to get some advice and opinions.

I recently installed the Maggie on a 2017 TRD pro. Truck feels really good, question is, I have 488 gears and was wondering if anyone has this combination as well and whether they have done any tuning for this combo? Thank you all.

    looking good!

to maximize performance and torque delivery, particularly so in the low rpm to mid rpm range where it's needed most, check out YotaWerx Tuning for the "Stryker" tune, to include transmission control overhaul.

Seems like your intake elbow is installed incorrectly. Right side should be left

Hey, got a quick question, how bad has your gas mileage gone since putting in your SC??? I know there will be a small amount of uptick in usage, but hopefully it won’t be as much as one would think in order to gain some attributes in performance. Plus this is an old post so I probably won’t hear anything as well, or will I??

I have since traded my supercharged manual Tacoma for a Hyundai Santa Cruz (which has been exponentially more fun btw), but my average MPG did not change significantly after the SC. I think my final average over 60k+ miles was about 15 mpg.

also if you do get the SC. The Yotaworks Stryker Tune was great and well worth the added cost.

It seems that many report fuel economy went down, but most of those suggest it may be because they like the acceleration enough that it changed their driving habits.

I also have the Yotaworks tune, and my fuel economy went up, though at the time of SC install, I also added a tonnau cover, 3" exhaust and deleted the engine driven fan and installed an electric variable speed fan, plus the fan is set up to only run when 'free air' is not adequate. some calculations on the fan suggest it could account for as much as 2mpg, and it does seem that my economy increased by 1 mpg or more.

The statement above was with mostly country roads, hilly and twisty, and spirited driving. Recently been more highway driving, and I can report that with no payload, exceeding about 70mph seems to dramatically increase fuel economy, traffic seems to be running in the neighborhood of 85 these days. I do not think this is at all unusual for the aero of a truck.

I can say that for me the truck was pathetic pre SC, especially towing or with a load; after SC the truck is a pleasure to drive, and is now fun, and a capable towing truck. Not wild in any way, but a respectable work truck and fun to drive. I would have sold the truck long ago, if it were not for installing the SC.

All mileage tracked since adding the supercharger. Mileage was marginally better before the s/c. I also have a front lsd which decreases mileage by about 1mpg. If I drive slower on the freeway the mileage gets better really fast. 60-65 is the sweet spot and I usually drive over 70.

So the hype wears out eventually....and now I have put 10K on the Supercharger....I got the OTT tune and man it makes a difference. I still don't have any regrets on the Maggie and the 488s regearing. How is everyone feeling here? Worth it still?

Yeah, that guy used to have a Google survey that you could fill out to show interest and I’m guessing that he was getting little response.

Sorry for bringing up a old post....I'm about to do the exact same gauge and pod in the vent. How did you wire it up and run the wires and hose? Did you hook it up after the supercharger was installed? If so, how hard was it to get the plug out and nipple connector on the supercharger?
