At that point I start to wonder about a completely different transmission all together. Although I will be curious what street/used price will be on the 4G unit; if I am not mistaken, 1st, 2nd and reverse are lower and 6th is a touch higher right?

That dealership in Topeka with the black friday deals better get their forklift in tip-top shape this coming Thanksgiving..

Yeah this is a point I touched on earlier too. With a stock transmission I already have to take care to not shift faster than the motor can drop revs. I feel like putting an SSK in this thing would just exacerbate that.

But if anyone here is in the Portland area and willing, I'd definitely be curious to try it

Time to pioneer the Bronco Box Swap I guess.

I’ve driven one. It’s an enjoyable gearbox to use actually. Though it feels like the box in my 1 series.

    RC60F in the 4th gen.

    R-1-2 - 20% lower
    3 - 9% lower
    4 - Same
    5 - 9% taller
    6 - 10% taller

I’m going to be buying one as soon as the part number (33030-04080) is available for purchase. So far the parts catalog still does not exist to the public but I know that’s what the part number will be. I am regeared already so the lower R-1-2 will be nuts. The taller 6th will actually help compliment the regear as well to bring the rpm back down some at cruise speed. It’s a bit revvy currently (2850@70) which I actually don’t mind at all but bringing it down a titch could be nice.

Definitely worth trying if you can find one to drive nearby just to see. I’d probably lean B&M if I were choosing due to the non blingy appearance and because I drove one and know how it is. And because no noises. But I would be curious to see the Core noise for sure. I imagine on mine it would be extra noisy because of the gear noise I already get.

Simply awesome! I've read your posts here and seen your truck's YouTube video. Hard to keep up but I understand you're still on original clutch and clutch related components? Curious to hear how your throwout bearing is holding up, along with other clutch components? Thanks.

45 k no issues except the clutch pedal makes that rubbing sound a common problem on tacomas 3rd gen and second gen a little grease will fix it other than that no problems my 2nd gen needed a clutch at 100k the bearing started to go out

That is pretty damn cool . Are your miles mainly highway miles? Do you do a lot of city driving at all? I also understand that you do a lot of towing? Would be great to mimic whatever you're doing to have the clutch system last that long.

3rd gen feels way different than 1st gen. Only issue I’ve ever had with my 1st gen is replacing the clutch at about 150k miles. Shes now at 260k with no issues.

Is RC60F compatible with 2GR-FKS? does the engine programming behave the same with a different trans?
