I used double sided tape too. It helps with heavy keys.

I wish they’d make a hole in my steering column where I could stick my keys and it would hold them till I turned the truck off. That would be convenient.

I’ve replaced my old car motor twice and snuck a wood stove through the front door of the house with this contraption too!

Is there a boats thread in Tacoma world? If not, know of any good boating forums?

Killer idea! I just finished 3D printing a hook to match my dash but, long story short, my fake leg sits awful high right there. Do you know what the slotted area in the dash is? Will it matter if I put a hook up above and my keys hang over it?

I believe that to be the sensor for the "glass break" alarm system. (Voice microphone has an overhead location.)
If I'm right, then your keys will not be hanging there when those vents need to be clear of obstruction/interference.

LOL if you're joking! Else; the problem the contractor we hired (in TEXAS) was that they didn't do a lot of stoves and this thing was over 600#. They were struggling to get it off of their trailer and I was afraid they were going to screw up my entryway. A couple steps and fancy threshold/door. So I picked it off and backed the truck over the steps and poked the crane through the door. Then gently placed the stove on a trolly (same height as fireplace) waiting in the living room. Truck stayed outside of course....

I don't know about that w/n TacoWorld. I use MarineEngine.com for mechanics and Aluminumalloyboats for hull issues. That old girl has been pulled by all 3 of my tacos and two Rangers! Nuthin' more expensive than nostalgia !!

It's for the cabin temp sensor which provides an input to the HVAC system.

No shit? Serves me right for not looking it up.
I have not noticed that sensor ever needing a "grill" in any of my past vehicles. It was always just under the dash, exposed to do it's job.
    Thank you for the education.
