I probably like those the most..... Not sure if I want to pay for them though. ;) A good deal on some used aluminum ones might be fine.

I have seen these wheels on ebay as used take offs. Hopefully you can land a set at a fair price.

Second gen OR alloys (16 inch) were 5-6 lbs lighter than the 16 inch steel wheels. 22 lbs compared to 27/28 IIRC.

    Just FYI.

The 17 inch TRD alloys weighed about the same as the 16" steel wheels, also.. so be mindful of that also.

16" alloy vs steel is a considerable weight savings.

24-28 lbs, that truck will never notice it, ever....now if you put some E rated 10 plys on in a 285 75 17 or higher, then you might notice a little bit of diffrence, chances are, you wouldnt.

Just giving info.. but, you have a 2.7, right?

You'd be surprised what 6 lbs of rotational force amounts to with that motor. 8 lbs of additional tire weight gave me a 20% loss in MPGs. ;)

What are you running now? Tire size and rims? And your truck is a 2.7 also, correct?

I never actually did a fuel comparison on my 2 set ups.....

I have the 16 inch steelies with 245/70/16s

And I have the TRD Off road rims stock with 265/70/16

Don't have the truck anymore (totaled last month).

But I went from stock 245/75/16 Dunlop OEM tires on OR alloy wheels to 265/75/16 Hankook (then 265/75/16 Cooper) and went from 23-24 MPG average to 17-17.5 MPG average. Pretty sure the tire weight was an increase of 8 lbs each.. no more than 10 lbs.

I saw a white 3rd Gen Taco with the black Tundra TRD Pro rims on it and it didn't look bad. Can't find any pics though.

Me thinks it will make a difference. F=MA and all.

I went from 245s to 265s and about the same diameter.... SL tire to SL tire..... I took about a 2MPG hit. Rotating mass is much more important than carrying an extra 8 lbs.

I agree, until I saw those, I had figured I would want black rims, now not so sure.
