    Yeah, I have been holding my tongue on this but people in this thread complain that the scooped hood guys want 500 or 750, meanwhile there is a scooped hood group buy where the cost is coming out to around $900. And that is with a slight group buy discount.

    Too much $$$ for my blood. At that price I'd just buy a new sport hood have it painted and sell mine and have a brand new hood.

    The thread doesn't seem to have any traction and the savings is like 40 bucks and you'd have to pick it up somewhere in Cali. You'd save more money just sourcing one from a local dealer.

    That thing has a pretty good dent in it. Hard to see in pictures but the writing even says “buckled”. The repair would exceed just buying one bare.

    It's got a 1/2 thickness scrape and a linear bend, which they called a buckle because it's horizontal near the midpoint. If I lived that way and was looking, I'd go take a visual inspection because I bet it's fix-a-dent level based on the pictures. You don't even see the source in the underhood shots.
