    This is what’s dumb about this hood swap stuff.

    This guy thinks his hood has more value than a scooped hood. The scooped guys think the opposite (which is why they think a swap plus a $1000 is equitable).

    Dude. Just swap the damn hoods and be done with it.

    The hood itself only costs $400-$450 (cheaper if you find a salvage yard). A little extra to get it painted. I don’t know why everyone one thinks that their stuff is so special so as to warrant extreme premiums. They essentially cost the same. It’s probably why this thread is called “the hood swapping and trading” thread and not “the hood swapping and trading plus cash considerations” thread.

    Also let’s forget people usually have to drive TO another person to do a swap.

    Has anyone ever gone this far as to put a business type card on a truck with a scooped hood at a mall or some other public location? We could come up with some sort of design other than this:
