    So I'm just gonna interrupt your swapping talk for a sec....

    Why would anyone want to swap out there non-scoop hood for a scooped hood?

    I have the sport and not a big fan of the fake scoop...I thought I'd be able to easily remove that inner piece and make it a true hood scoop for when in the hot desert or something but it really does not look that simple at all...

    Just for the aesthetics really. You're right that it'd be hard to convert it to a functional scoop, but there are functional aftermarket options available already.

    Purely for looks. And cutting open the bottom black piece of the scoop, super simple once you’ve removed it. But it’d be pointless unless you plumbed the airflow to the air box, and for minimal if not zero gains, and a better chance at sucking in water. There’s an aftermarket hood that has an air channel routed, but pointless imo

    A few.
    I have a Cavalry Blue. Kind of like a needle in a hay stack finding a sport hood in this color let alone someone willing to trade. I think there have been a couple people on here who purchased a factory sport hood from a dealer and had it painted but don't recall what the total cost was for it.

    Just an FYI, sport hoods and pro hoods are the exact same. If you broaden your search and include sport hoods, you might have better luck. If you're going for the pro look, you can always add the decal to the hood and black out the scoop. Exactly what I did.
