Note: ((The dripping fluid is wheel cleaner/degreaser I used to clean a spot for the GoPro mount. I forgot to wipe it off the Fuel Skid))) You can see pretty severe axle wrap in my video I link here. See my other videos for more info, and build is in the description etc too.

Thinking a beefy leaf pack, maybe with a shackle flip kit would help. I need more weight support in the back for RTT etc going forward anyway. I have also considered a custom Cantilever setup, as I don't see any for our trucks out there that I can find. I am hoping to find a solution that allows me to still off-road, and overland it decently.

Would love your thoughts, or ideas, as some of you have been there and done that already I would guess. Thanks in advance!

It’s really hard to tell from that video, but that doesn’t look like axle wrap, it looks more like normal suspension compression and how the diff / axle change angle with normal leaf movement, but from the video it’s really had to tell. You need to get a shot showing the leaf / axle & diff to really tell if it’s axle wrap, or at least showing the leaf and axle.
But explanation of the rear lift would also help, blocks / leafs / both?

My connection isn't letting me see the video but if you're looking for 6" springs and beefy what about 3" lift springs for a Chevy truck? I've converted two older Toyota's to Chevy springs and since they're so long the ride is amazing. I can't see 3 additional inches of arch ruining it that badly. Just throwing an idea out there.

There is a member who did ford shock towers and chevy long travel leafs for his rear. I will see if i can find his thread. This would probably solve your issues and then some.

Those lift blocks look fooking HUGE. There's your source of axle wrap. Replace those with a proper leaf pack and you'll be right as rain. Atlas makes leafs to lift that high.

I looked into a BDS kit when I was first looking at lifts, talked to several vendors about this as I really didn't like the block lift being in the back. In all of these discussions I did find out that you can get a set of deavers made to match the lift, and since you are looking at an RTT you can also have them set it up with the amount of weight you are expecting to haul as the deavers come in many variations. Not be the exact route you are looking to do just a thought, as I am no expert on this stuff, just some things I considered when researching the lift for my truck.

I have a two inch block in the back and I'm experiencing some issues. Just today I turned into a parking lot and when turning in I went up a slight hill. I felt like I was going at a decent speed but turning right and when my back wheels started hitting the hill my rear right tire locked up a little bit and then was slow to move and it felt like my test wheels just didn't want to move freely like they should. Anyone got any ideas

That's odd. Is this the only time it's happened?

If you are still using stock leafs those are super soft, Heavier Duty leaf pack should help.

It was the first time it locked up for a second. Turning into a parking lot and going up hill I can see how the back axle could have issues if my rear lift are blocks. I've read that the leaf springs tend to help it from axle wrap or what not but this kind of sucks. I've had an issue backing out of my driveway a few times where I put it in drive and it feels like the back wheels are just stuck it something. Parking over night on my driveway. But when going into drive leaving in the morning I've had no issues

I guess I assumed axle wrap was more violent. What does it feel like driving?

That's very odd. What I would recommend for troubleshooting purposes is remove the blocks temporarily and see if the issue goes away. That'll give you a clear answer.
