Like others just mentioned, stick with the 600’s. I have 650’s but I have a full steel bumper and it’s perfect for my setup. 650 might be slightly too much for your setup

I have #650 with ext non adjustable 2.5” front and rear, Total Chaos uca’s and Dakar med duty springs. I have an aluminum skid and Pelfreybuilt sliders and I love the quality of the ride. The fronts were tuned by Down South Motorsports and the rears by @AccuTune Offroad i think the valving/tuning is super important to give you the ride you need.

Any pictures? I am waiting on my Icon RXT leaf packs to be delivered and have been going crazy figuring out which configuration to go with.. Did you use the stage 1? I have a bed rack and RTT in the Spring-Fall months so a fair bit of weight.. I've read the lift height that is advertised by Icon is on the conservative side.. I will be running my Kings with about 2" of lift, and would like around 1.5-2" out back.. I like the factory rake.. @AccuTune Offroad any thoughts?

icons lift way higher than what they advertise in my experience. Did rxt stage 1 on mine and it settled at slightly over 2” of lift. Have sliders and diamondback cover.

Hey all, I installed on Thursday after doing the cab mount chop and some other shit during the week. Had new wheels and D rated 285/70/17 duratracs put on friday, picked up today (sat).

Install went ok, took me way too long honestly, almost 8 hours with the kings front and rear, block, and camburg arms. Scratched pass side fronts a bit since I did them first, drivers went far smoother. Drove home and back, and went to check everything... rear pass was barely bolted in! Swaybar mounts were a little loose even though i loctited em. I had trouble setting preload, beat up the collar, and ended up going too high, so i had to beat it the other way, ended up around 4/6 threads driver/pass.

I can post my before after but I'd like to let it settle... shop that mounted my stealth customs complrtely borked the job, long story short they are buying me a new set, but that's for another thread.

First impressions: way too stiff. Might be the D rated tires. I have 600lb springs and the default valving, whatever that is. Have no weight except a protech headache rack. Hoping it settles, alot. Got in the neighborhood of 1.5" lift front and rear (block in the back, may contribute to stiffness). Again, 4/6 or so threads of preload, so not much. Can't beleive people would be happy with 700lb springs and not much weight, it would ride like a dump truck!

My wife even commented following me, watching my dog bob around in the back....

Sounds unusual that it’s riding that stiff with that preload. Of course lifting a truck even with Kings won’t necessarily give you a so called plush ride on the road but it will handle better offroad as well as taking dips/bumps. Have you checked the springs and see what it says on them to make sure they sold you the right ones? I’ve heard of someone on here before that thought they had 600s and when they checked it was actually higher.

Yes they say 600 on them. Decreasing tire pressure (shop had them all over the place, 35, 36, 37, 38) down to 31 has helped, but its still stiff.

Word to the wise, if you want it really soft, get them from a shop like accutune that will valve them how you want. Don't just buy them off the shelf like I did. I even have adjusters, which I read were valved more softly from the get go, turned to all the way soft.

Chasing down a really minor vibration at around 18-22mph, at that speed it happens every 2 seconds or so. Shimmed the carrier bearing about 3/16" and it seems to have helped (driveshaft halves are now even in angle), testing more today. Off topic I guess, since the kings probably don't really have anything to do with it. Could be the same tire shop that borked my wheels and added an ungodly amount of weight to one just did a shit job, when they install the replacements it might improve.

Gotta figure it all out though before I install my 4.88s, and add more variables into the mix.

You may be lifted too high.
In the front what is the distance from the top of the top hat to center of the lower bolt at ride height?
In the rear what is the height from the top of the steel body to center of lower bolt at ride height?

Top of coilover mount to center of bolt
    Driver side about 21
    Pass side about 20.5
Top ridge of rear shock (where the res line exits) to center of bolt
    Pass about 20.25
    Driver about 19 (full tank)

That's right about where you want to be height wise, assuming they are extended travel.

The D Rated tires aren't doing you any favors, what year & cab/bed configuration?

    Looking for feedback.

currently have these kings with adjusters.
    Dakar leaf pack El095R

im measuring from center wheel hub to fender. Front 23 1/2” Back- 24 3/8ths”

Problem is my truck drives like a brick and this is my daily commuter. Is this normal? Im thinking maybe i should swap the leaf pack with something softer as i drive empty 99% of the time.

Your shock is going to top out very quickly at that height. 21" is the max we recommend so this could definitely be causing a harsh ride.

Anyone on here with Icon RXT leaf pack in the stage 2 configuration? I am contemplating that as I run a bed rack and RTT Spring/ Summer/ Fall.. Just don't want to overload the leafs in the stage 1 config.. When I go camping I load the truck up so my main concern is negative arch/ flattening the springs. Any input would be appreciated! Oh, I will be running ext. travel rears..

It will really depend on how heavy the rack is, and the items you put in the back. You may want to add the rack etc. then see how it sits & rides. If it sags more than you would like, then add the stage 2 spring configuration.

    Update to my Kings experience-

Don't know exactly how, but getting an alignment really helped a ton with my ride quality. Since I don't have a before sheet to my alignment, just an after, I can't say how off everything was or what was changed. It now tracks better, less bump steer, less wander, and much less harshness to the ride.

I can post the sheet but I asked for between 3 and 3.5 deg pos caster and got 3.3 on both sides, iirc. Pretty much 0 toe/camber. Have camburg balljoint arms.

It could be placebo and the shocks are just wearing in a bit, but I'm pretty confident that between dropping it off and picking it up 5 hours later, it rides so so much better.
