I'm getting ready to purchase a set of kings front/ back, UCA's, and AAL. Anything else I should add to the list such as extended brake lines etc??

I off road quite a bit and do a lot of dirt bike trips to the desert. Instead of taking the bike I plan to mob the tacoma doing some high speed desert running. Currently have Method NV's with 265/75/16 K02's

You planning on +2s for these high speed desert runs?

My 2.5s and RXT leaf pack got me going a whole 5mph faster than my stock desert runs. Now I’m blistering at 15mph!

Maybe check out some spindle gussets and bump stops. Sounds like you’re about to get hectic.

Definitely tuning for those shocks. For a 2-3" lift you shouldn't need much of anything else, unless you start getting into the Long Travel territory. Air bumps will be nice if you're really getting after it. If thats the case you may want to consider a Long Travel kit.

(Don't shoot! But for high speed off-road, street driving and loading your bike, you may want to consider Fox with their DSC adjusters)

Might want to consider the ECGS bushing to replace the needle bearing while you have the front end torn apart.

I would definitely reinforce the spindles.

It really suck to be in the middle of nowhere with a bent or broken spindle.

Cool thanks guys. Just looking for a 2" lift. I'm not going to be getting after it tooo aggressively. The desert we usually go to for camping and riding is pretty mellow with a lot of open washboards etc.

    I'll add
    - Extended Brake Lines
    - Bump Stops
    - ECGS Bushing

How do you go about reinforcing the spindles?

Total Chaos has spindle gussets for sale. They need to be welded on. If there’s a fan shop nearby they can make something up for you.
I did mine just because I had the truck all apart and didn’t want to have to take it apart again if I bent a spindle.

You will notice a difference between the stock bump stops and aftermarket market ones. Wheeler and Douro bumps are popular.
    Definitely extend the brake lines.

What size tires are you running? What spring? How do you like the ride? Anything you'd do different?

265/75/16 Wildpeaks with Spidertrax 1.25" spacers. 600# springs and around 9/10 threads of pre-load. Rides great. Firm but not jarring. Flat in the turns, but just feels more planted. Even loaded I am still a little higher in the rear which is good.. This picture was taken right after install. It has settled a little bit. Off road it is soooo much better than stock (obviously!) Here's another after the suspension settled and some wheeling. Edit: rear springs are Icon RXT leaf pack in the 2nd configuration. 100% happy with these. Little bit of noise after this trip, but there was a lot of water, mud, etc. Sprayed them down and a little bit of fluid film and they're quiet again. If I did it again, I would probably buy from AccuTune. I got a killer deal on these (new) and couldn't pass it up. I will have AccuTune re-build them when the time comes.

I know this conversation is a few weeks old. :D . I completely agree with the above. It needs to be setup to your truck and not what someone else has done. On mine, I still have mine equal turns on both sides without any lean but I also only have about 500 miles on my truck. Something I did find was that leveling the Kings to the rear dakars I felt it took the Kings out of their optimal operating range. When I'd hit a speed hump without slowing down and the weight would lessen on the front, it felt like the shocks would unload too fast (it was almost like a "pop" it would unload so fast). I added a 1/4" spacer (from Headstrong) and was able to turn the shocks back up 2 turns and now the truck still sits level and feels much better when I go over those speed humps without slowing down (the speed humps are just an easy test spot to get the suspension to cycle a bit). So something to consider. I haven't measured my shock length yet, I know that ideal length range has been shared in this thread so that's something I would like to do to see where I am.

much much more entertaining than either of those two, believe me! had to snap pics before losing the blue glow. I've become King's biggest fan.

i got one difficult turn on my drive home. for 2 years I've struggled with it and couldn't ever get the front and rear to work together so i could take it at high speed. as my Foxes have slowly died i haven't even been able to play with that turn. but today i unlocked the King secret a bit and jumped the front of the truck right over it at 50mph. before, maybe 25! this was all about how they tune. this kit is freaking unreal. I'm just beginning to figure out its performance.

    2 questions.

    1. If I buy regular king 2.5 shocks how will they ride in comparison to the HD street tune from accutune suspension?

    2. Are there UCA that are blue to match the kings?
