So here on Oahu (Hawaii), we have rocky, sandy, dirt trails with some minor whoops.

I'm running 650# springs and as far as weight (besides the wheels/tires), I have sliders, front skid plate and bed racks so not a whole lot.

For pavement, I currently have it cranked all the way to the softest setting (as I don't want the ride to be any firmer than it already is on the road lol).

I guess messing with the dial is the only way for me to find out when it's time to hit the trails (maybe crank it 4-10 clicks?).

No, they only have a Mid Speed adjuster.
#650 springs may be too stiff for your setup, which isn't helping. Adjustments on the shocks will really be based on your preferences. It will really be trial and error to find the sweet spot

just to give you an idea, i have the same general weight/armor as you and i run 550lb springs. if i ran 600lbs up front i wouldn't be able to dig into my Kings to get them doing their thing without aggressive weight shifting on the street... and i kinda already do that. if you overspring you'll keep your shocks from working well.

King doesn't but you can add a FOX DSC resi to them easily.

True. I barely got my kings back from getting rebuilt for the second time. I don’t trust them to hold oil and nitrogen. Much less add a fox reservoir to them. But it’s interesting to know it’s a thing

Does anyone have a link for a tool to remove the wiper cap on the bottom of the King shocks?

Anyone here rebuild their own Kings? What specialty tools should I look for?

Ran into this when I was trying to figure out how to get my wiper cover off. Video, part and tool list, and detailed instructions.

Can do some fun stuff with just a nice mid-travel setup! Been running this setup for about a year now and love it. Time to work on the rear soon and get the OEM kings swapped out for 14" smoothbodies.

    King 2.0 Bumps

    Looks like fun!

When you go the 14s keep us in mind. Having the front and rear tuned will help with some of that air time your getting :)

Stock LCA's still, will hopefully be adding in some TC lowers at the end of this year. The alignment tabs are reinforced (no alignment issues currently jumping)
