Thank you so much for the fast reply!

Just finished measuring per your picture.

From the Top Hat to Center of Shock Bolt, it measured 21.25 inches.

Curious, what's your spring rate and # of threads showing for preload? Bumper/winch, sliders, skids on there?

Got it, just wanted to confirm you couldn't lift the front more. You're basically at the max height we would recommend.

I had a similar rake (also running Icon RXT springs at Option1 with King 2.5s) and had the front preload cranked up to compensate. They went a little too far (looks like they added at least 4 turns) and it now has a little reverse rake, and the front end tops out too easily. Not good.

I think if you added just a turn or two of preload, you'll be close to level and still have sufficient droop travel.

Not something we would suggest. We recommend a max shock length of about 21". He is currently at 21.25" which means he only has 1.25" of down travel remaining in that shock. Going taller will result in the shock topping out very quickly like you mentioned resulting in poor ride quality.

Thank you all for your help and insight!
I think I solved my problem!
Added about 100lbs of sand to the bed and it’s level now!

Probably will add a full size spare to keep it level long term.

Did you remove your stock spare? And adding 100lbs of sand is not the solution I'd take after replacing my stock suspension with Kings or anything of quality.

Yes removed stock spare. And you’re correct I don’t plan on keeping the sand in there. Just used it to estimate how much weight I need to add in the rear in order to give more of a level appearance.

Sorry, I committed one of my own most hated forum offenses, not reading all previous posts before chiming in.

What's limiting droop when running the King extended travel coilovers? Is it the UCA? Sway bar? I hope it's not the shock itself topping out...

Yes the shock is designed to be the limiting factor

So, I need a little advice here. I got a set of brand new kings last year. Since then. I’ve taken them to King HQ twice. First. Dropped the rears off . The driver side leaking oil and with low nitrogen. The passenger was fine but figured I should have it looked at anyways. They took them apart and said there was debris in between the seal And shaft of the leaky one. Changed the seals and refilled and recharged and sent me home. The second time. Passenger front and back and driver rear. Were leaking and all four had low pressure. About 40 psi. They told me the shafts had gauges that caused tears in the seals. Now the front passenger and rear driver are leaking and sagging because the nitrogen is likely low, again. King has not charged me a dime and has been super prompt in helping me. Grade a customer service. But I just want my $2700 worth of suspension to work so I can offroad. I’m considering taking them to @AccuTune Offroad or do I give king a third chance? Is my luck that bad or do I have defective shocks?? Perhaps rebuild them myself.

May just be bad luck. Like you mentioned above, we do get a lot of Kings that end up needing new shafts. Once they get dinged or damaged they tend to take out the seals and cause them to leak. This all has a lot to do with their shaft material and seal materials. This article may help explain some of those details:
    https://accutuneoffroad.com/fox-vs-king-oem-coilovers/

If you are getting these shocks serviced for free, thats not a bad deal IMO.

Are there any covers or shields you guys recommend to help avoid any shaft dings or dirt/ debris damaging the seals on the king stuff? I have a set on order with you and would like to get something coming before install if there’s any type of protection worth trying.

King has shield guards that may be worth exploring. Those are something you would need to contact them direct about though, they have to confirm fitment. Otherwise a shock boot can work decently.

Yeah I actually read that article after the first time I had to take them in. I was trying to see if there were seal upgrades for these things. I run Fox on my mountain bikes and it’s grade A stuff! I ride MX bikes as well and in the 17 years riding dirt bikes. Never had pitted shafts or pitted fork tubes cause a leak. And they get pitted constantly. I called king and they told me to bring it in. But it would be two weeks before I get them back.

Spent half the day tackling this install. Really need to invest in a lift for my garage. Factory King preload on stock TRD Pro wheels, UCA’s and 265/70/16 without AAL. I also bought an Icon 1.5” AAL that’ll be installed when I eventually get bigger tires. Sits pretty level so I’m happy with it. Forgot to take before measurements and will edit the post with after measurements once I take it for a drive. These things are BEEFY

fronts and rear seem to be sitting at 21.75”

Unless you get something custom made, King doesn't offer a 2.0 Remote Reservoir shock for a Tacoma.

I'm going to be purchasing Kings this week, if I am going for a 2.5" lift I should go with the extended version front and rear correct? I am also going to be getting Icon Delta Joint UCA and Headstrong AAL for rear.
