Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I've only had adjusters on mine so thought Accu-tune could give you accurate info. I would guess they are set around mid point but don't know for sure.

Hey guys. Currently reading a lot. 3rd gen taco. Looking at kings hard as I can't find any negative reviews. Plan on doing the TAT either this fall or next spring so getting my build going. I have decked drawers and a Leer 100xq on the way. Will be a sleeper set up in the back with the drawers loaded for that. I plan on a winch and mild bumper. Up front. I would preferably like to find a set of used kings but we shall see. Going to go with 700lb springs up front, definitely adjustable dampening front and rear 2.5s. SPC UCAs, looking at a Dakar leaf pack or an AAL. Truck has 90k on it, so it's probably time for a leaf pack. Extended steel brake lines. currently have 265/75/16 ko2s. Am I missing anything?

I feel like the Dakar springs are questionable. I've never had them but I've seen enough second thoughts about them to have doubts. They don't seem to have the exact correct fit for our trucks and end up causing minor problems. I feel like the best detail around this I've seen over in the Archive garage subforum (here under vendors, looking at their hangers). I have the icon RXT leaf pack on the middle setting and like it. Ive got the 2.5 ext front and rear with SPC UCAs.

It feels like you are going high end suspension, do a bit of a deeper dive on the leaf pack choice. Also, skip the AAL. You are adding weight and the stock springs are junk to begin with.

Finally, look at aftermarket hangers to really improve the ride. Good luck.

I assume you just changed the rear shocks to King and left the leaf springs the same? Ride quality is going to be subjective. What may feel stiff to you may be great for someone else.

I would strongly encourage you to avoid used shocks. A good deal is usually too good to be true.

I am also running RXT's at option 2 and made all the difference. No complaints. I looked at Deavers OME. I cosign skipping the AAL, you wont regret it. Buy once cry once.

Might be in the market for 650# springs soon if anyone has a pair laying around. Currently on 600's and will be installing my hybrid front bumper soon (135lbs). Will wait and see how much she sags after.

I figured with them being rebuildable it wouldn't be a problem, but will heed your advice.

When you say hangers, I'm assuming you mean where the leaf packs attach? I'll do a deeper dive on the less pack option. Deavers seem to be the top choice if you're spending money, no?

I so totally need to contact you about my set-up, just lacking courage.... Aaaaand might need to re-weight my fat-ass Taco to help with figuring stuff out (last time I did it it was close to 6200, but there were some changes made since then)

does anyone else daily drive with Kings set max firm? I've been toying with different settings, and found full firm rear (I have RXT stage 3, canopy, decked system installed) along with five clicks from full firm front handles great around town.

no but it the biggest difference is the amount of weight you are carrying. I daily a virtually empty truck and am often either fully open to 4 clicks from open.

edit. also on stock King valving as it is just as important as weight when comparing setups

I tried running valves fully open and 4-5 clicks, but the nose especially was too floaty and acted like a boat. Off road however, with my tires down to 18 psi and full soft, the Kings felt like a Cadillac.

downgraded from 3.0 to 2.5 and couldn't be happier. 3.0 was overkill for my usage.

did you change lengths or other specs? details? the 3's are a tight fit and heavier but I'm also curious the related info and what's making you happy about it.
