I think 3.0s are a little overkill for a Tacoma. Our trucks are a little light for these, you might end up wasting a lot of your calving to make these work.

So I got this spanner tool from pacificcustoms.com thinking this may help me with the with adjustment around the reservoir tubing on the passenger side. Nope. The tool doesn't fit between the adjustment ring and the coilover bracket to reach the hole. Does anyone know if that Kings T-handle tool works better than the spike wrench thing that comes with the coilovers in reaching the hole for adjustment? Don't want to buy another tool, nor do I really want to have the coilovers removed in order to adjust.image.jpg

Well shit that is unfortunate. I swear man the politics of this place is getting out of hand. I am getting hindered more and more from speaking freely on here.

Yes, the King T-handle works. I bought it and with the straight punch tool that came with the shocks, you can get access to all the holes. I paid about $40. I also used WD-40 on the threads.

Thanks for the tip. Got a T-handle on the way now. The Kings have settled since they've been on for the last two weeks and I'll need to crank the front end up about an inch and a half on each side to get level with the rear. Also got a little rub to make go away. I think I read somewhere that the max preload is about 3.5 inches of thread showing, but I think I should get there before max preload. I'll get an alignment afterwards, and found that getting a 2-3 degree positive caster and 0 degree camber will help from rubbing the rear of the wheel well where it is currently rubbing.

Aside from the T Handle from King, has anyone been able to successfully adjust the coilovers w/resi while on the truck with maybe an alternate tool? Ideally something that I can find from a local tool store? (trying to avoid waiting for shipping)

Just a heads up, I was able to find the King T-Handle locally at SDHQ. It really made the adjustment possible. However I did notice that as I was using the punch tool, the end started to bend a little and ended up pretty close to the angle of the T-handle. Once the punch was bent, I was able to use that solely to adjust the other side. Just something to consider if you are able to bend the end of the punch tool, you might be able to avoid having to get the T-handle.

what other adjustments did anyone have to do with your kings?

I went with the 2.5 ext and TC uppers.

I have a little bit of creaking, even after I grease them and lubeb up the ball.

I was wondering if a 3 inch lift would benefit from a carrier drop.

I pretty much left it the way it came from Kings and was told that it was the optimal setting. Got me around 1.25" of lift in the front. But I did turn up the drivers side one thread to accommodate the "lean".

    Hey guys, question...
What do you guys use to keep our shocks nice and shiny?
I honestly havent cleaned them, only pressure wash when i do the truck, but i wouldnt want them to start getting nasty or dull or stained.
    TIA! :playball:

I know everyone wants to ditch the sway bars, but I want to run them for my daily commute. Is anyone running Sway bar relocation kits with their King's?
