I dont have exact numbers atm. Need to drive it around first to let it settle from being in the air. They always sit high right after coming off the lift.

I'll go ahead and say that it seems about what i wanted tho. Definitely got some lift up front but nothing too crazy and maybe even a little out back but that might settle out

Seems i got about an inch up front. Theres 3-4 threads showing on both coilovers - not exactly the same. Thats how they came. I was 21.5ish up front before and 22.5ish after. Out back im around 22 after. Forgot to get before but it looks like little to no change. Overall it looks pretty level but I'll need to see it from more angles in different parking lots to confirm.

    Couple things on the install
    • Kings instructions dont work for a 4wd up front. You have to disconnect the spindle from the UCA to get the coilover out
    • Remove the undertray for much easier access to the sway bar mounts
    • It says you may have to grind the rear lower shock mounts to allow the kings to fit and i did have to. Not a big deal but i wasnt really expecting this
    • Driver side rear reservoir mount is a bitch to install. Maybe not so much if you have it lifted such that you can walk under it but i didnt
    • Lower rear shock bolt can be difficult to get in. Even at full droop the king shock was longer so either have to push the axle down or compress the shock a little. I sat on the axle and got it to go in on one side but had to use jack to compress the shock on the other
Dont have many miles on it yet but loving the ride so far

So these are the OEM kings up front? Did you do control arms ? I'm wanting 2.5 in front so sounds like another 1/2 inch of threads would work. Let me know how ride us compared to stock.
    Thanks

Yep standard kings front with stock UCAs. It doesnt look like the alignment is too far out but its definitely cambered in a bit. Alignment on monday.

2.5 should be no problem. Just have to turn the collar a bit. Idk if its a direct relationship to distance collar moved to height gained but probably not a bad place to start. You'll need a special tool to turn the collar which king does not include. Thats actually pretty weak if you ask me... $2200 and you wont give me a simple proprietary tool to adjust the collar?

Ride is hard to put into words but I'll try. In a lot of respects its what I expected because its similar to when I swapped to KWs on the Z. The best word to describe the difference is more controlled. Like when you hit a big dip in the road on stock the suspension moves a lot...up down back up back down until it eventually settles. It handles it fine but a little loose if you will. With the Kings its more like it fully absorbs the bump then settles very very fast. It compresses then returns and its done - gives a solid af feeling. And its not harsh. Still super subtle just waay more controlled. I havent been offroad yet but this of course is even more pronounced offroad. All over the place with stock but controlled and ready for more on Kings.

Thats the most noticeable and important difference to me and why I bought them. That being said you can ever so slighly feel the imperfections in the road more. Again not harsh it just doesnt float quite as much as stock.

I will be getting adjusters on mine to tune it for on and off road. Thanks for the update. They look awesome..

am i preloaded too much? I have about 12 threads showing in the front, hub to fender measurement 23.75", or about 2.25" of front lift. i have the 14" / 600 lb spring.

i haven't taken it off road yet with this new set up, but i do notice when going over large driveways fast, i hear almost a bump in my suspension, maybe bc I have it jacked up too much... How are you guys getting so much lift without cranking it up so much, seems like most are running 14" too?

just got my Kings installed about 4 weeks ago. 2.5" with resis all around (non adjustable) and using a 1.5" Icon AAL in the rear to lift. tried to read through this thread, but i'm a newbie to this stuff.

Getting kings front and rear. Do I need to get a spanner wrench to set them up? Getting the 119a and 121a.

I thought front stock height was 21? You were 21.5 stock? Just checking. That could be 2.75 LIFT.

Just keep in mind, the higher you crank them up, the less downtravel you have.

I've heard they are nice to have for adjustment on the vehicle but you don't need it to set them up. Just a rod or punch that fits.

The wheels or tires will not change the hub to fender measurement it will stay the same unless you change the suspension or add weight.

"bump in the suspension" is your sway bar hitting bottom of coil over? did you relocate it

Bump sounds like one of the bolts isnt torqued. Probably one of the sway bar bolts. I forgot to torque down an end link nut that connects it to the spindle and it was clunking. Tightened it up and all was good.
