Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I'm running 32 with 2.5". Looks fine to me and no rubbing with sema wheels. Go 33 you start rubbing.

As an update to this post:

    1) I went back and lowered the pre-load (IE ride height) on the front coilover to get closer to recommended settings, get rid of the clanking sound and soften the ride. I have roughly 9 threads showing on the drivers side and 13 threads showing on the passenger side. This height eliminated my clunking noise, smoothed out the ride, compensated for the "taco lean" and was a good compromise between taller ride height and the King's suggested pre-load setting.

    2) (IMPORTANT) When lowering the truck ride height by spinning the collar back down the shaft, I notied that the WHOLE assembly was rotating at the bottom of the spring perch/cup, NOT just the spring. I did not notice this when initially adjusting pre-load and I think all of those rotations (unthreading the shock internally or whatever) was the cause of the clunking sound, not coil bind. I must have rotated the entire shock body/assembly many times without realizing it when I made my initial adjustments, as I thought I was just spinning the spring around. This is probably the reason King suggests you make adjustments with the coilover NOT INSTALLED on the car. An alternative could be to rent spring compressors to unload the spring and adjust the ride height (pre-load) as to not spin the shock body along with the spring.

VERY happy with the ride. These things soak up bumps and ruts and potholes with such finesse, I can tell they're much more competent that the stock OR suspension. Now I need to get them offroad and really test them out.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
The shaft for the passenger side has been getting dinged by gravel so added a little protection.

hey guys, anyone received and installed there eking kit and had the reservoir brackets to the swayer me drilled be wrong? My driver side bracket lines up perfect, my passenger side, the threaded holes needed to be exactly the other way around before they welded the bracket together. Pics for reference.

I agree hah. Don’t really NEED to run one. But the passenger side res mount sits about an inch closer to the frame because the hole were drilled wrong. So I at least need another mount fmto get the reservoir away a bit.

My truck is stiff now, but I like how well it handles going through my pasture with terraces about 40mph.

The king coilovers are stiffer than the fox shocks I replaced.

Differences are fox - 650lbsx13"... king - 600lbsx14" though I included a photo to show difference in preload. The kings also added ~1.5 inches of lift

My rear set up is OME EL096R with Timbren ubolt flip.

I think Fox needs a 625 lb coil to be just about perfect.

Sub'd since I read through all 36 pages while my wife watched IT.

I'm closing to pulling the trigger on the following from Micah/DSM. Does anyone with a DCLB have this setup with feedback? Also, for everyone else who proudly own Kings, if you could do it again, what would you do differently?

    <snip> from DSM 1/15/18
extended travel and Dakar set up rears are the same cost as the standard quoted above.
650 is what I would recommend if just doing a bumper. I would rather be a little under sprung and add a turn or two of preload than be over sprung and not be able to do anything about it.
    25001-119-ext-650
    25001-121-ext-dakar
3-4 week build time per king as of now

I'm thinking of going with the 700 lb coils since I will upgrade to a full bumper, winch and full armor. I welcome any feedback. thanks in advance!

I read a couple times in this thread that 10-11 threads showing translates to about 2.5'' of lift. Seeing that these coils are for 05+, does that mean its 2.5" lift for a 3rd gen and 3.5'' for a 2nd gen? Does this mean 6 threads showing should be about 1.5'' lift for a 3rd gen?

I have an 18 DCLB that I just got after trading my 16 access cab and hopefully can give you some insight. I just installed kings front and rear with 650 lb coils and an icon mini pack for the rear. First, They are well worth every penny no doubt. I cannot get over how pretty they are too. They are stiff as said before, but if you are planning on any extra weight added they will soften up. Though, don't get me wrong, its not an unbearable stiffness by any means. It is the most planted truck I have ever driven and soaks up bumps like nothing. My most recent wheeling trip in Northern AZ where I live took me on some straight, open, washboard type roads and at 70mph the Kings didn't blink. If you plan on doing full armor then go with 700 lbs but I stuck with 650 as I wanted to not have to preload my suspension too much while still gaining decent ride height. As for ride height I gained about 3 inches up front and approx. 2 inches in the back with mini pack leafs. Also, Plan on buying UCAs...and getting that UCA bolt was out one of the biggest PITA things I have done while wrenching. Just be willing to bend your inner fender flare which cosmetically you cannot see when its all buttoned up, although it hurts taking channel locks to your brand new truck. I didn't opt for adjusters because I used the money I would have spent on other things and have not found that the ride should be changed at any time. Overall, I couldn't be happier. Hopefully this helps.

No, the stock 3rd gen suspension is 1" higher then the 2nd gen stock suspension. As soon as you install the Kings it's the same regardless if it's 3rd or 2nd gen. 4-5 threads showing is 1/4" of lift.

I see. So in essence, with the kings on a 3rd gen, it'll be about 1.5'' of lift as shipped correct?

Sounds like what exactly happened to me. Called them up and they sent out the correct bracket the next day and had it on the day after.
