Ok thanks. Do you run standard travel Kings in the rear with the 95r or extended?

Standards but the only difference between these and extended travels is a 1/2" spacer in the shock that can be removed when you rebuild them. When mine need rebuilding I will remove the spacers for a little more travel but I don't think it will be a huge difference. I am happy I purchased the Kings with adjusters though, worth the extra coin and the ability to adjust them to any terrain.

I think I’m going for the 95r’s. Do you run extended break lines with the 95r?

Absolutely, wouldn't even think of running the stock lines with any type of lift. I got the stainless braided ones from Wheelers and after bleeding my brake pedal felt even more firm. It improved the stock pedal feel so I ordered the matching stainless ones for the front as well. When they arrive I will put them on and rebleed the brakes, I have them on my '97 80 Series Land Cruiser too, a necessity.

Thanks for all the feed back man. will order some as well. Im still on the fence on getting headstrong off road progressive AAL and leave the over load bar to achieve 2inches of lift or the 95r's. I will be saving some $ and go a head and pull the trigger on some Total chaos UCA. Or do you recommend me getting the 95r's first and later getting TC UCA

I purchased everything all at once but that is the type person I am. I would not do AAL's at all and I wouldn't keep stock UCA's with a lift either. My wife has a 5th gen 4Runner with Billsteins and the SPC uppers and it rides like a dream with about 2" of lift. We purchased the 4Runner with the lift installed and I couldn't believe how nice the ride was, it rides great both on and off road. We went to Big Bend and she got to 4 Wheel her truck last month, it handled everything well and I was impressed.

    Regular vs extended.

When it comes to rear shocks, is there any difference in ride height? I know the rear has a spacer, does that affect height?

Your 3rd Gen and 4Runner look awesome. Are those 6112's/5160's or 5100's F/R on the 4runner?

It doesn’t affect ride height at all. Your ride height is affected by your leafs so if you changed them, added extra leafs or blocks, then that will be the only thing that changes height. Extended rear shocks gives you more droop when fully extended.

Thanks, the 4Runner has 6112's on the front and Icon 2.0 aluminum non reservoirs on the rear, previous owner did this and it rides amazingly well.

I posted this in the "What did you do to your 3rd gen today", already but wanted to know from everyone in here do you guys adjust the height with the coilovers on the truck or is it best recommended to uninstall them then adjust the height. I just got my kit installed this past weekend. I love the ride just don't like the rubbing. Thanks in advance.

Of course Kings recommends taking them off but I’ve always just jack up the truck and turn them while they’re on. Just be observant and ensure the shock body doesn’t turn with the collar, it shouldn’t but I’ve heard others say it happened to them.

He was talking about rear not front. Front is the one with the spacer for extended travel. Rear you have to swap out the bottom mount 25DEAF76-AA54-48B9-9074-4CE363C8E19F.jpg

So how much length does that different lower mount add?

I think it’s 1” over the normal mount
