@Kadenm im sitting on King EXT 2.5’s for the rear paired with the ARB OME EL095R “medium” leaf packs. If your load in the bed is gonna weight more than a set of 33’s and wheels, you’ll definitely see a sagg. The truck sits nice without a load, throw some shit in the rear, and that bro lean comes into play.

I have it set at 2.5 inches of lift currently and I’m planning on lowering it to 1 inch of lift.

A question for the experts. I will be adding quite a bit of weight here soon with a mobtown front and rear, a camper shell, and skids (already have sliders) and will be upgrading the suspension at the same time. This is what I am looking at getting:

    King 25001-119-EXT- 700 remote reservoir
    King 25001-121
    Heavy Duty Dakar leafs
    Total Chaos UCAs

That being said, I have been reading different opinions on whether I should use steel shims or a carrier bearing drop to mitigate the angle change. Any thoughts?

I’m not an expert but I think you want to get extended rod ends for your rear setup so either a 121-ext or 121-Dakar.

I needed 3 degree shims and the carrier bearing drop to eliminate vibs. I started just cb drop and had alot of vib. Added the 3 degree and they went away.

With the amount of weight you'll have in the rear, I would suggest to get rear adjusters. Heck, I'll even suggest looking into adjustable Tundra rear shocks (with Tacoma specific lower mounts - they're a bit thinner).
I'll dig up a thread about it, and update this post.
Here is some info 2007+ tundra rear king shock upgrade on Tacoma.
(I actually regret not going with this setup)

Sorry, I don't have anything for ya about the shims.

    About halfway done...
Also, these Leaf springs are gaining popularity. The price was right for me anyway.

So these Tundra shocks will work with the OME Dakars? What are the advantages of the King Tundra Shocks to specific Tacoma King stocks? Downsouth Motorsports sells rear kings specifically made for the OME Dakar leaf packs. Whats the difference between them?

    Thank you for the explanation.

I am in the market for a full suspension and might have to do the same you did.

So all I need to do a order 2007 rear Tundra King shocks with Tacoma lower collars and I'm all set?

That's exactly what I've done with my truck, Tacoma specific "extended" Kings with (medium) Dakars. And it works.
Tundra shocks are longer and have more articulation, kinda like Bilstein B110, but way better. So they could be more beneficial while off-roading /crawling. Also, the link I provided also shows optional custom springs.
Now, keep in mind that I suggested them because of the weight he has and will add to his truck. Whatever decision he makes, I still strongly suggest getting adjusters for whichever shocks he gets.

Like I've mentioned, I regret not getting those mostly because of lost articulation, but I don't have all that much weight on my truck, that's why I've decided to go with the stuck replacements.
Could have gotten Tundra's with adjusters... Kinda too late now

I'm stock now as well. But I rather buy once and not twice.

In the next year or so I will have front bumper, rear high clearance bumper. Want to get Vagabond Drifter camper in the future, etc.

In the time it took me to "speech to text" my reply, @Blackout14 explained all of it way better.

Anybody else receive their King suspension a bit banged up? Just received my rears today, and they have a lot of nicks and scrapes around the anodized parts, and the part where the hose attached to anodized portion of the reservoir are two different shades of blue. I know they'll get banged up anyway, but for what these are sold at, I rather be doing that myself.

Doesn't look too bad on the pic, but I think you make a valid point , at those prices they should be flawless! Lol
    BTW, no issues with mine

Waiting on my 2.5, should be here any day now.im wondering what mini leaf spring to go for in order to level with my front.
I plan on going 2.5” to 3” on the coils.so should I go 1.5” or 2.0” leaf springs to get It pretty close to level? Their will be no added weight at rear.

Didn't take pics of all the flaws, ones pictured are the minor ones, and variation in blue is hard to tell in the pics. Decided to return them and pay the difference to have black anodized instead of the blue since I haven't received my fronts yet.

That's good that they changed it on their own decision.

1.5 leafs for 2.5 front, 2" leafs for the 3" front. Personally it's going to ride rough if you preload the springs for 3" lifts. Kings are designed with 2" lifts from the factory for a reason. 2.5" would be the limit for proper droop and compress.
