I'd just run them and if you don't like it, you can always swap them later.

Rebuild question....So I really want to do a king setup, but how long will they last before needing rebuilt? Here in southwest Missouri there are no places that do this kind of thing and I'm pretty incompetent when it comes to wrenching. And taking these off, then shipping and waiting really isn't an option since this is my daily driver.

I read somewhere that King recommends at 40k.

I’d imagine Service life would be dependent on actual use. Also I’m sure there are some King authorized service/rebuild centers out there.

You need to go back and read what I wrote before you continue to run your mouth. I said the downside of running 700lb springs would be a harsher ride than 600lb springs. The spring rate is how much weight it takes to compress the spring 1". So if you are running 700lb springs with no additional weight up front the suspension is not going to cycle/move as easy as it would with the standard 600lb spring which makes it a stiffer/harsher ride over 600lb springs. Spring preload will play into this also. Will it still ride nice? sure, you have $2000 coilovers. Never did I say it would be a rough ride. I opted for 600lb spring because I don't have any additional weight up front and don't plan on adding much. I dont need to own 700lb springs to understand how spring rate works...

Cool story bro. To each their own. Still don't believe it though and I don't need to justify my purchase or have buyer's remorse.

Any idea on how to clean the bracket? Thinking about powder coating these black or purchasing a new set.

Sand them, wipe them down, spray etching primer then powder coat.

I just sanded them down good, and hit em with rattle can self etching primer, then whatever Black was in the shop. But if you got powder coating cash, go for it!E173E4B8-D9CE-4A67-A1D8-D3A0EAF080A9.jpg

That's great to know! What's the rest of your lift setup, and how much lift did you end up with at either end?

    Finally installed everything yesterday.

FRONT: King 2.5 EXT RR w/adj (650 coils)+ Baja Kits UCA

REAR: King 2.5 RR w/adj (Dakar) + OME Medium Duty

Truck: 2018 DCSB 4x4. Stock wheels and tires (265/70 R16). No significant weight added, except for the sliders.

Installation was pretty straight forward after reading all of your tips, watching a couple videos, and my buddy having the same setup on a 2nd gen.

After doing my calculations I ended up with 2.17" of lift in the front and 2.36" in the rear (Measuring from the wheel hub to the bottom of the fender).

First pic is with the front lift only. Second pic is full lift.

    Thanks guys.

As I understand it. Longer travel ie. extended length coilovers means a little softer spring rate let's the truck absorb small potholes and bumps easier at speed
