I hope they do this - our 2nd gen's will become valuable collector's items. ;)

    In all seriousness...

Toyota would be wise to take the Tacoma on it's own path...different than the 4runner.

Make the truck just a little bit larger...add some HP & TQ...if not a small block v8...

But with the sales and following produced from the current gen Tacoma...I don't look to see Toyota wonder too far off the farm.

I'm glad my 2011 will be here in a couple weeks! I don't like the new look.

If the 3rd gen looks ANYTHING like the new HILUX my next truck will be a FORD.

they wont offer a v8 due to the competition from the tundra, we have to face it even tho it kills me... no diesel either...

i hope it mantains its own looks and not the looks of the runner... but i hope crawl control does come over...

Whatever Toyota decides to do, lets hope they work really hard on the new design prior to it's release, so that we don't see another 6/7 years of TSB's. Who am I kidding, I'll still be hanging on to my 2nd gen so I guess I could really care less.

The front end looks good, obviously taken from the 4runner.... so he obviously photo'd the back end, of course its not going to look great, I am sure Toyota doesn't use photoshop to do their design lol, I bet it will come out looking bad ass they haven't really ever made a "bad" looking truck/SUV

Most people will probably dislike the new look at first, then fall in love once they get over themselves.

That said, I really hope they keep the horizontal part of the grill centered, as it is the 2011 Tacoma grill.

Ok, I'll be honest. THAT looks pretty good. Black seems to do that to a lot of vehicles lol. But personally I like the look of my 2nd Gen more still.
